| Arteyu01-19-07, 05:52 PM | Will using Lesser Celerity or Celerity allow me to use swift actions more then once per turn? What about activing a command word magic item two times? (once before and then after using Celerity) Can I use a swift action and activate a command based magic item on the same turn, before and after celerity? Same thing with spells, basically I want to know how much I can achieve when using either Lesser Celerity or Celerity. (This is with my Seeker of the Song with Melodic Casting) |

Complete Mage has the latest word on swift actions, allowing only one per turn, regardless of any other action you take. What about activing a command word magic item two times? (once before and then after using Celerity) Absolutely with Celerity or Greater Celerity, but not with Lesser unless the magic item specifically states that it takes only a move action to activate. Can I use a swift action and activate a command based magic item on the same turn, before and after celerity? Same thing with spells, basically I want to know how much I can achieve when using either Lesser Celerity or Celerity. Refer to the swift action rule. Some will argue that you can take a swift action in place of a move or standard, but if that were the case, then the recent updated ruling in Complete Mage wouldn't have needed to be made. |
