STR - 17 (25)
DEX - 18
CON - 18 (22)
INT - 16 (12)
WIS - 17
CHA - 16 (14)

The Dex and Wis will give you a decent starting AC and your Str will be insane. Would make an insane grappler. Screw weapons and armor. Your a monk. As for anything else I really can't help you with out knowing starting level, party compisition, money, etc.

You might be better off looking at a Centaur Monk or a Half-Dragon/Half-Celestial something or other. However, if you are dead set on Minotaurs:

Str 17
Con 17
Dex 18
Wis 18
Int 16
Cha 16

Why are you playing with a Mino? Is it a Good campaign or Evil?

Seconded. What did you do? Roll 5d6 and reroll all 1s, 2s, and 3s, and take off the 2 lowest?

How did you end up with nothing but 16s 17s and 18s? At that level it doesnt even make much difference where you put the stats.

Using what, 1d3+15?
:P

Seriously, though, placing your stats doesn't really matter when they're that high and close together. If pressed, though, I'd put the 16s in INT and CHA.

As for equipment, how much money do you have to work with?

Ring of sustenance. Your monk will never need anything again.

You do know that a Minotaur Monk1 would be starting out as a 9th level character, right? 2500 starting gold sounds like a very low number for such a high starting level...

Check the DMG for how much gold you should have as a 9th level character - I would, but mine's not available at the moment. It's somewhere in the p.130-140 range, I believe. As for what to buy, what sort of game is this? That'd rather help.

Are you sure you're supposed to be making an ECL 9 character, though?

First of all, it's rather bad netiquette to use a dozen question marks per line. One question mark per question is plenty, thank you.

Now, a 1st level minotaur monk (ECL 9) gets about 36,000 gp to spend. Minus the cost for the ring of sustenance, that's 33,500 gp.

You could buy an Amulet of Mighty Fists +2, which would increase your unarmed attacks' attack and damage by 2, for a price of 24,000 gp. Alternatively, you could get an Amulet of Mighty Fists +1 for 6000 gp. This will only give you a +1 bonus, however, but it's up to you.

Judging by the fact you're playing a minotaur, strength is your good point. You could buy gauntlets of ogre power for 4000 gp, which would increase your strength by 2, giving you an extra edge to your attacks. A Braces of Armor +2, also for 4000 gp, will give you an extra +2 bonus to your AC, which will combine with your wisdom & dexterity bonuses to AC.

Chances are you will need a ranged weapon or a weapon of a damage sort other than bludgeoning (the damage type of your unarmed attacks) just in case there are enemies too far away or with special resistance against bludgeoning attacks. (such as damage reduction) In this case, A Kama or a Siangham will do the trick for melee, and a sling + bullets or some shurikens, even though they do not deal much damage, will suffice for ranged. Make sure to get your weapons masterwork-ed for 300 gp, and maybe even enchant one with a +1 bonus for an extra 2000 gp if you feel cool with it.

There, I've given you a few options to buy stuff. It's up to you to decide if you want any of it or not.

For the other stuff you have asked in the OP, Your skill points may do best in the skills that aid you in dungeons, such as Jump, Tumble, Climb, Hide, Move Silently and possibly Swim. Climb, Jump and Swim should be focused on least of all, since you've already got a strength bonus to them.
Health isn't yours to determine, you should get around 73 hp at your level and con bonus, if you followed Arcen's advice for stat placings (but with your luck, it could be a lot higher) AC is also not yours to 'place,' but you can influence it. With Wis, Dex and Braces of Armor bonuses to it, plus Natural Armor and racial size, it will be at 23 or 24.
Deity is unimportant to a monk, but if you want one, it should be according to your alignment. St. Cuthbert is usually the best bet with monks.
Alignment will be Lawful something. I'd suggest either Lawful Neutral or Lawful Good, depending on the style of campaign. If it's an evil campaign, go Lawful Evil.

Hope I helped. A little side note-If you haven't already got the PHB, do so. I see a lot of new players without PHB's, and they haven't got a clue how to play the game, and they come here expecting to be spoon-fed answers.

Edit-Heh. There's a guy in our gaming party called Aust, he's an elf wizard. I haven't got a clue where the reference (if any) comes from, though.

I once knew someone who "misunderstood" how to roll 4d6 and instead rolled a d20, and got two 20's and a bunch of above 10's. Of course this *cough* has nothing to *cough* do with this. :rolleye2:

I second this question. Half Celestials... rock. And if you're playing an evil campaign, why not half-fiend?
