I am building a character in Living Greyhawk. Currently a 3rd level paladin, next two levels I will put into knight, then PrC into Pious Templar of Lendor for three levels, and finally go into Knight of the Chalice.

I am making a demonslayer to go into the Old One's territory. I wanted to see what people think of this build.

Uh... why Knight exactly?

You could go straight Paladin to 5, and get the Mount, (bonus from high WIS) spells, and an extra Smite.

Well I was originally going to be straight paladin. But I was looking at the knight for its challenge ability. Also after 6 levels of KotC go back to knight, Balwark defense is interesting. I still might stay with my original plan.

I like knights better. Pals are a little to goody goody for me.

I think you have to many classes and it gives me flashbacks to my groups Steve who multiclassed his characters like he didn't know they had more then three levels. But it does seem to make what you want rather effectively.

I still use the three class rule from old school. My players don't care they always go straight or 2 classes and they don't like pros.
