He has a curse that transforms him into a demon when badly injured and is incapable of telling friend from foe at that point (Read temporarily gain the Half-Fiend template and random targets determined by the DM). | navar10006-02-07, 07:30 PM | Cedric Van Deimos - human Warlock Metagame: Named after Cedric Diggory from "Harry Potter". He shall not be forgotten! :) His father is the Duke of the Western Realm (my previous character). At the end of the previous campaign, the party rescued an ancient wizard who was falsely imprisoned thousands of years ago in suspended animation. He was granted immortality by Elohnna because he devised a way for no unicorn ever to be able to be killed by mortal means. We learned that when he was imprisoned, his wife walked into a tree never to reappear. She became the first Dryad of the world. In gratitude for rescuing the wizard, whose soul will be reincarnated, the Fey blessed my character's son (Cedric, my current characer) by releasing the latent Fey magic my family tree has. I have the Fey Heritage feats. By DM fiat, for each Fey Heritage Feat I have, a tiny Fey accompanies me. I currently have four - Moe, Larry, Curly, and Shemp. Joe will arrive at 9th level when I get the 5th Feat. |
| TimelordSimone06-02-07, 07:34 PM | Paul 'Oneiroi' CN Human Bard. Resents his parents. (His real name's Paul Welsh) Was 'busy' most nights. :tie: Galatia del Silverhyl LN Human Sorcereress. Incredibly narrow minded. There are two ways of doing things: her way, and the wrong way. Ended up as 'team leader' somehow... |
| Dawnshadow06-02-07, 11:10 PM | Saetar of Wulfskaag; son of Halveig by Syr, daughter of Beitlof by Kolog, daughter of Heimlid by Breki, daughter of Krild the Slayer, child of Ruskithiligan the Black -- called Shadoweyed, Guardian, Defender of Toruk Pass, Slayer of Ruskithiligan. History: Tribesman (fighter) who went out into the world, made some friends, killed a bunch of people who really needed it, came back and found out his black dragon ancestor really wasn't dead, just badly injured, and went off and killed him. Currently off to save the world. And yes, that's his full, formal name. |
| loaba06-02-07, 11:19 PM | Hawkeye Eleihar CG half-elven woodsman (Rng 2/Sct 6/ Obw 4) Hawkeye is the consumate professional. He's an accomplished archer and a skilled woodsman. |
| TimelordSimone06-03-07, 05:51 PM | Metagame: Named after Cedric Diggory from "Harry Potter". He shall not be forgotten! :) Support Cedric Diggory! The real Hogwarts Champion! |
| Candin06-04-07, 12:01 AM | The Ubiquitous Hand - Githzerai Monk, came to the material plane to find a group of mind flayers when his party engaged them in limbo. Didn't like the character, so he returned the limbo (the Githzerai could only return from a hunt after killing one mind flayer per githzerai in the group, so it was an appropriate reason) Candin Calimide - Chaotic Good Sorcerer, sole purpose of adventuring is for fame and glory. Spends time giving generously to the poor, has an interest in controlling fate (levels in Wild Mage and Fatespinner). Wouldn't mind coming into the posession of a deck of many things. |
| Ecalsneerg06-04-07, 08:48 AM | Markus Longstrider- CG Dark-kin ranger 2. Essentially a human, albeit with scales, red eyes and a tail. Comes with utter immunity to Charm spells! |
| Lionhearted06-04-07, 11:00 AM | This character havent actually come to play yet, so he doesnt have a name. Either way the best way to sum him up is. "What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about what we can taste, what we can smell, hear and feel then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain. " "You've been living in a dreamworld, Neo." "It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth." "Do you believe that my being stronger or faster has anything to do with my muscles in this place? You think that's air you're breathing now? " "Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world? " A little packed with matrix quotations there, but I discovered that almost everything Morpheus says fits in on this character, He used to be a warrior, but in a fight with a evil supernatural spirit (Horror for those familiar with Earthdawn and Shadowrun) He was infected with a horrible disease leaving him unconcious for weeks, during those weeks he lived in a dream world, that is similar to our reality (and as he woke up at a mental hospital, well you get the idea) Now that he is back he is convinced that this is actually the dreamworld (he suffers from tremendous Amnesia) and as he gain more and more control over it, he gets more and more attached to it, part of him wants to return, part of him fears that he can never do so, but most of him.. just enjoys the ride. TN Human Psionicist (Telepath) 11 |

| Jaith06-04-07, 07:41 PM | Ares Rahl- NG Half-drow Warmage 5 The son of two old characters, he's really rather fun to play. He's a good guy, but he's really rather arrogant due to being raised and trained by a couple of legends. He also has this need to prove that he shall not always stand in the long shadow cast by his parents. Sandojin- Neutral Beguiler 11/ Nighmare Spinner 4 Set in an oriental adventures style landscape, Sandojin is based off of neil Gaiman's "The Sandman". In fact Sandojin is the combination of the japanese word for sand(sando) and the japanese word for man(jin). Creepy Character, lots of fun. Intimidate is much more fun in monotone. "You may have escaped me this day my friend, but take my heed. Sleep not this night, nor ever again. Fore in the land of dreams you may never escape me. In the dreamworld I see all, I know all, and I control all. Believe me my friend, when next you sleep you shall wish you had died here this day. Fore there are much worse things than death. And in your dreams, I shall show you them all." -Sandojin |

| GatorBurf06-05-07, 12:43 PM | Mattie Klass: CG Half-Orc Fighter 9/BeastMaster 2 She has a Orc double-axe with flaming burst on both ends. She also has had both of her eyes plucked out and now has a scarf that lets her see kinda like Daredevil's radar sense (my DM rocks). She also has a "Black" panther named Moghedien (that's right, Wheel of Time) that one of the guys in my party always changes to pink every time he sees her. Being blind, I have no idea it happens and nobody else tells me. She's a lot of fun to play. Oh, also, she's a lesbian with a Cha score of 15 (odd for a half-orc, I know) so she is always scoring in town |
| RobbyPants06-05-07, 02:25 PM | An NPC added in too... Melzaaya - Evil reoccuring female elven wizard BBEG. Entire body coverd in tattoos. Grogg - Orc fighter/barbarian. Rudd - 2E human fighter. Quilnarii - Female elven wizard. Jack Black - Human rogue. Yes, I named him after the lead singer of Tenaceous D :P |
| snakeman83006-05-07, 07:40 PM | Captian Glorgin (Full name is Glorgin Cevex Olgim, short name for a gnome). was NG turned Neutral when he became a demilich. He doesn't view undeath or necromancy as evil and doesn't use it as such either. As for his title, he is the captian of the Graverunner, a very Pirates of the Caribbean inspired ship (skeleton crew, can go underwater, has cannons because he found a Desert Eagle automatic pistol in the War Cubes and adapted it. It also has so many spells protecting it, it would be suicidal to attack. Not to mention it can Plane Shift) Not surprisingly, this is in an epic campaign. I doubt that anyone would catch it, but after I named him, I discovered his name was similar to that of a brand of rum. One of my friends nicknamed him Capn' Gin. It's funny that he used to drink a lot when he was in port before becoming a lich. |
| NightHawkFalconis06-06-07, 09:04 PM | In chronological order, from the latest character to the oldest: Xeran Kelozzir - CN drow rogue with a penchant for being flashy, silly, and overly friendly. Most fun character I've played. Amondaemmeron Nipherius - LE human Wizard/Sorcerer/Ultimate Magus, more commonly known as "Daemmeron" and once feared as "Black Amon." Fought alongside Simon the Sayer and his disco ball, was killed by logs and made certain to kill anyone whose player mistook his mantles of power for bathrobes. (All OOC jokes.) Second most fun character to play. Kurazarrh Ara som Keirr - LN (leaning LG) Ingelohaeran (avariel) Blademaster (class of my own; this was a playtest). Riven - CN fighter; Kurazarrh after wings were ripped off by a god. Forsook the way of the Blademaster, re-trained as a fighter, and set out to hunt down the god's followers. (Actually played this character before Kurazarrh) Vaughn Trillbater - CG halfling sorcerer with a celestial riding husky, Bal'biton, and a tabby cat familiar, Taia. Cheeky little fellow, but loveable and boisterous. |
| Pyro_Azer06-06-07, 09:43 PM | Jarm bash: Rouge level 7 focussed on getting rich quick and has been successful Rissonat Frinino: rouge lvl3 focussed on being an arsenist (rissonat frinino= anagram for arsonist infirno) the DM mmade me a race that was immune to fire (i forget which) so i used to go in the middle of enemies and smash a pint of oil and drop a torch. |
| Arisune06-07-07, 08:32 AM | Arisune Nailo - Chaotic Good Monk/Sorcerer *Edit - I forget, don't monks have to be lawful?* |
| Baash06-07-07, 08:43 AM | Aoirghe (properly pronounced sounds like a bear growl): a NG Sun elf druid of Mielikki who was raised by a pack of brownbears in the High forest. Her bearfamily killed by aberrations, now exploring the world and looking for new experiences. Has had her heartbroken three times now by three different women, one which she is currently travelling with. Now concentrates on her adopted green dragon child Caesin Thurirl. |
| Selena Ombrenoire06-07-07, 12:28 PM | Aisha the Tigress (Human Fighter 12 AD&D 2nd edition) A lonely amazon who's combat prowess is as legendary as her stupidity. I'm still playing this character after 8 years ! Fiona Flameheart (Human Bard 7 / Enchantress 4 AD&D 2nd edition) One of the most lovely woman in the known world. Known for her taste for luxury, her 15 000gp non magical robe, her natural talent for foreign tongues (pun intended) and of course her signature spell: Fiona's charming kiss. William Worthington (Half-Orc Bard 5 D&D 3.5e edition) Ex-butler now writer extraordinaire. Speaks with with a heavy british accent and loves tea. The typical british gentleman with the "looniness" of Lorne in Angel TVS. Not the typical half-orc ! -Selena |

| _Jayne_Cobb_06-08-07, 10:01 AM | Vagin Dégoûtant Hum, Ftr 4/Rog 2/soon to be Drunken Master 1 http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/DQ_Minis_x/TavernBrawler.jpg Disgraced former guardsman and current alcoholic. Has been surviving mostly on working as a petty thug/enforcer and on cash won in bare-knuckle brawling matches. His brain is so addled with drink and constant blows to the head he doesn't even recall his real name, or at least that is what he says. This is a nickname bestowed upon him by fellow brawlers in the nation of Burgundia where he is currently living (not from where he hails). He never learned the language and was told it meant "Dirty Bastard," which he was fine with, but actually it means something far more crude. He still carries his crappy non-magical guardsman's sword though he rarely uses it, preferring instead the two weapons he has more easily "to hand" as it were. He also totes a blunderbuss and is determined to find out what happens when you cram a Necklace of Fireballs down it. His pride and joy are his Boots of Striding and Springing which, along with some feats, give him a base speed of 65! His current personal goal is to find a Mug of Endless Beer. The character was inspired by the Tavern Brawler miniature (above) and so looks exactly like it. His theme song is Barroom Hero (http://www.plyrics.com/lyrics/dropkickmurphys/barroomhero.html) by Dropkick Murphys. Should this PC die I have a Dwarf Paladin named Stenn von Eisenberg (Stenn of the Iron Mountain), and his war-boar Speck (Bacon) waiting in the wings. |
| Rogue Elendae06-10-07, 04:29 AM | Let's see... Elendae Darkmoon: her first name's Tolkien Elvish (Sindarin, particularly) for "Star Shadow." CG Elf Rogue8 with leanings toward CN, she was my longest-running character until the game sessions had to be cut off (I was heading to university, and plenty of other people just wouldn't be at the community college we'd been gaming at). She attracted lots of trouble, including "Stormclaw, the Yellow Thunder of Heironeus" (think Tatewaki Kuno of Ranma 1/2, for any anime fans out there, but as a Fighter who thinks he's a Paladin of Heironeus on a holy mission, who's highly xenophobic and cries "For the good of all goodly folk!" when charging into battle), and Aramis, a twisted dhampir who tended to stalk pretty Elf females because he had serious issues (don't ask, his backstory is long and intricate, and utterly twisted), and wanted her to be of use to his organization of thieves and assassins. She narrowly avoided several instances of being turned, be it by bite or by a particular curse his group had developed, and was prone to somehow getting knocked unconscious and stripped to her underclothes in several different situations...and no, it actually wasn't intended to be anything raunchy. The "knocked out, captured, stripped, and tied up" thing just became a running gag after the incident in the thieves' guild... Varian: NE (though borderline CE) Human Ranger5, who was chronologically my second character, though his adventure actually predates Elendae's. Varian is currently an NPC, part of Aramis' organization, and a rather sadistic werewolf (not that he wasn't an utter sadist as a human...just that now, he can tear your heart out and eat it if the whim strikes him). Very aggressive, with a hair-trigger temper, but a tendency toward cowardice; as far as the rest of the story goes (since the campaign never finished, we eventually just thought up the end of things as a series of plot events, including the party's final battle with Aramis' Midnight Society), he ran off during the final battle and went into hiding, more interested in saving his own carcass than in aiding even his perpetual partner in villainy, Aaronel the Silent Blade (a vampire assassin). Our current campaign that we're running over summer holiday is based upon the campaign setting about 25 years after the battle, and Aaronel is looking for Varian for the sake of giving him a swift boot and getting him back to work now that they're the only two lieutenants of the Society left. Kesshira: a CN Rogue1/Ranger2 from the campaign set in the world 25 years after the battle with the Midnight Society, a bounty hunter who was formerly one of her thieves' guild's most talented manhunter/assassins, but who was officially considered too rebellious after she sought outside training with a Ranger to teach her something beyond her previous urban fighting skills. She's an archer, but keeps a weapon for all situations on her person (the composite shortbow for long range, throwing axe for up-close, shortsword for melee, daggers for desperation). She's a bit self-serving, highly keen of mind, and a little ruthless, but doesn't take her hunting lightly. She's rather particular about who she'll hunt down, and whether or not she'll attempt to take them alive or kill them. She's currently under conscript to the Wizard Adavisk (from the campaign Elendae was in), who wants to find his mentor, Rashal, and discover why the magical forest in which the elder Wizard lived is suddenly fading and dying. The Midnight Society is also involved in things, and she has had a few unpleasant dealings with them in her past that she'd just as soon not have brought up. There's also Velasca, a CN Elf Rogue with swashbuckling duelist tendencies that I used for a brief adventure we ran with a friend who was new to the game, but that we convinced it was fairly easy (then again, we run roleplay heavy, dice rolls light, so it really kinda is in our group), and the "minion" of one of our group members (I kid not, it's what he calls the guy...mind you, all in fun... ^_^). She was irritable, haughty, and terribly disliked the way that Minion tried to have his false noble character be the domineering party leader just because he'd convinced two of the other players to allow his to hire their PCs as bodyguards...yes, this was a bit of my opinion on the matter seeping through, but really, his character concept just kinda deserved it. Those are my only current D&D characters that've seen any level of play...I had a CG Elf Swashbuckler named Calenglin that deliberately only lasted like a session and a half, for particular story reasons...her name means "Green Eyes" in Sindarin. She didn't exactly get much character development, nor did the Elf Scout I made for another tossed-off game I ran with some buddies... |
| MagicMouth06-10-07, 05:26 AM | Cyre - LG Half-Elf Paladin/Ranger of Ehlonna Cyre is clad in a a chain shirt, a green cloak and typical wilderness trappings. In his right hand he wields a masterwork longsword found in an old ruin, and in his left he holds a finely crafted rapier. Although he was raised in a temple academy dedicated to Ehlonna, Cyre received his Paladin training from a warrior of Heironeous as part of an alliance between the two religions. His first (and current) mission is to bring an end to the smuggling operations in a southern city. He was joined by several members of other nearby academies, but none of them remain now (due to death, insanity or abandoning the cause). After the party reached the city, they were repeatedly attacked by robbers and assassins working for the smugglers. Investigations revealed that they distributed a dangerous, addictive potion throughout the city: it gave the victim almost supernatural strength and endurance, but would kill him if he was deprived of the drink for more than a few days. Cyre got in contact with a Gnome alchemist who happened to be a master of illusions and trickery: this little man managed to find a cure, but Cyre was repeatedly put through harrowing tests, the most recent one involving an attack by a Mind Flayer (being a Level 3 character at the time, I was mightily freaked out ). All these tests were illusions, but seemed real at the time. The party started to catch the addicted victims and give them the cure, and were quite successfull, but also had several run-ins with the law, and eventually the city watch took over the operations. Vadania, the group´s Elven Druid, unfortunately became addicted as well, and over time her actions took her to the dark side (from NG to NE, that is). Cyre has had some succes in tracking down those behind the smuggling, however, finding letters and learning some suspicious facts about a certain elderly gentleman by the name of Henrik Boberg. He has tracked him to a "hotel" and is about to start spying on him. |

| Kimokeo06-14-07, 01:46 PM | Imhere, a venerable old woman. She is a fiesty babe who is rarely seen. She's a paid assassin. A wizard/rogue that uses gaseous form/fly to infiltrate and still/silent spells to assassinate while in a polymorphed wil-o-wisp form. Her favorite tactic is to hover over the sleeping body and blast it to smithereens. She leaves no trace except the burnt husk of her victims. It is said she has joined a temple and with her new found clerical spells and the Divine Metamagic she is even a greater, nastier foe. |

| Crash0123456789006-15-07, 01:52 PM | Well lets see. In the past few years there has been Aranen Darasul CG Ftr/Rog. Aranen is an elf raised in high dale by his mother and step father after his father was killed by Zhent's in Shadowdale's rebellion. Once he found out he didn't belong to his step father he decided to travel the world/dales and make a name for himself. Has been unsuccessful so far, but the campaign is just starting. Gurst Bhast'Kor NG Dwarven Fighter. Gurst believes the best offense is a great defense and is based around not getting hit. He uses a Dwarven Waraxe and has shield specialization and combat expertise to boost his AC up. Krel Survan CG Human Ftr. Krel is a big man at nealry seven feet tall. He is a savage having grown up in the savage northern wastes (was a homebrew game) but was taught his trade by the best of his tribe. He uses a Guisarm (I think, whichever one is a trip weapon) and has Expertise, Improved Trip, power attack and cleave. Jellian Lee Floustan CN Human Rogue/Ftr. My attempt not at being powerful in character creation, but at being underpowered. Jellian was a noble turned writer. He fought with an inkpen (he went through those like crazy at first) and was known to take notes on monsters by writing in their blood on the paper he always kept tacked to the back of his shield. By far the funnest character I have ever played. Gruggan Turnskull CN- Half-orc Barbarian. Gruggan is you stereotypical kill everything and grunt barbarian/half-orc. I play him in Living Greyhawk which doesn't offer a lot of room for Roleplaying in it's time slots from my experience. |
