| Scarecrow01-03-04, 04:45 PM | 1) Under the weapons section of the sheet, it says Attack Bonus. From where I'm looking, I can't see if there is one or what it is if there is one. 2) Again, weapons section. It says Damage. Which damage goes under there. In the book there's 2 Dmg(M) and DMG(S). 3) To figure out my Damage Reduction I need to do this : 5/magic How do I do that? Thanks for your help in advance. |
| Scarecrow01-03-04, 04:47 PM | Forgot one. 4) How do I figure out spell resistance? |
| Hughbert01-03-04, 05:03 PM | Attack Bonus is something that you have to calculate yourself. Start with your Base Attack Bonus, then add any modifiers for Strength (or Dexterity for a ranged weapon) and Feats. If you are playing a Small creature (Gnome or Halfling), you will be using a smaller version of the weapon, so take the damage dice from the (S)mall column. Otherwise, take the damage dice from the (M)edium column. |
| Luminous Crayon01-03-04, 05:14 PM | Without special circumstances, you won't have Damage Reduction or Spell Resistance, so you can leave those spots blank. Certain classes (like Barbarians) get Damage Reduction after a certain level, and certain races (like Drow) and certain magic items give Spell Resistance. Odds are you don't have it, so you don't have to worry about it. |
| Scarecrow01-03-04, 05:22 PM | Well, it just so happens, I made a drow PC, and for some other reason (forgot) I do have a damage reduction. 5/magic. How does that work? 5/magic?! |
| Scarecrow01-03-04, 05:54 PM | Anyone? |
| Luminous Crayon01-03-04, 05:59 PM | It means that magic weapons damage you normally, but you subtract 5 from the damage you take every time you're hit by a nonmagical weapon. Your DM can explain it to you better as the game goes on. |
| Scarecrow01-03-04, 06:09 PM | Thanks for all your help guys.Only one more now, spell resistance anyone? |
| AshesOfHumanity01-03-04, 09:02 PM | A Drow has spell resistance (SR) equal to 11 + class levels. (Page 103, 3.5 MM) So add you class levels to 11 to get your SR. Example: if you are Wiz1 then SR will be 12. If you are Wiz1/Ftr1 then SR will be 13 etc. |
