This looks like part of a template. Its easy enough to read, cross reference your characters hit dice (LEVELS) on the first column, that tells you how much cold and fire resistance he gets from the second column, and what kind of damage reduction (if any) he has from the third colum. Example: Adding this template to a 9th level fighter (a 9 hit die character) would put him in the 8-11 range, giving him 10 points of cold and fire resistance and a damage resistance of 5/magic. |

I see where you are confused, but as in the above example hit dice refers to how many total hit dice you have, not what type it is. So the above 9th level fighter would have a spell resistance of 14 (9+5). Also how do I figure out : Spell save Arcane Spell Failure Conditional Modifier Spell Save DC Spell Save: You base spell save is your attribute modifier. If your character doesn't cast spells then don't worry about this portion of the sheet. Otherwise put the modifier that he gets his spells from (i.e. charisma for a sorcerer) in here. So a 15 charisma sorcerer would put a +2 in the spell save spot. Arcane Spell Failure: This is the total arcane spell failure of any armor or shields worn. Look in the equipment section to see what arcane spell failure your armor has, if you have no armor or shields then just put a big fat zero here. Conditional Modifiers: This is for any other abilities you have that might raise the DC of one of your spells, such as the feat Spell Focus. Spell Save DC: This is for the basic DC of each spell level that you cast, simply add the spell save from above +10 + the level of the spell. So the above sorcerer would put a 12 in for 0th level spells, a 13 in for 1st level spells, a 14 for 2nd, and so forth. |
| Scarecrow12-24-03, 11:49 AM | Okay, so my resistance to cold and fire is 5, how do I figure out my damage reduction using "5/magic", oh, and how do I figure out spell resistance on top of all that other crap. |
| Scarecrow12-24-03, 03:45 PM | Oh and which one goes under Damage DMG(S) or DMG(M) |
