| perlmunkee11-24-04, 08:39 PM | I need some suggestions for a character to be added to a small party. We have three players and the other two guys already have characters that they are bringing in. One is a 10th level Human Mystic Theurge (I'm guessing 3 Cler/3 Wiz/4 MT) the other a 10th level Halfling Barbarian. I was thinking of a Rogue or Fighter/Rogue, but I'm not too hip on appropriate PrCs or what race I should choose. I've been away from the game far too long :) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! |

However, I think that your own ideas would be easier for you to play, coming from within and whatnot. Go with the rogue or fighter/rogue, give him a good backstory that might even have something peripherally to do with what the other characters have done to get to level 10. |

Loads of skill points, go Dex heavy, light armour, then two weapon fighting (twin short swords with weapon focus) with backstab. You can play the role of thief, scout, assassin and even number 2 fighter to the barbarian. Just try not to get addicted to the potential damage you can dish out (run away as soon as they start going for you) cos you'll be a sitting duck (and a flashing neon one at that) in combat. In terms of roleplay you can go with anything from the cool quiet assassin type, to a rumbunctious, quick-witted, lovable knave. I quite like going with an over the top personality that hides a true capability to kill. You don't claim to be more than a light-hearted rogue, but when the chips are down (or when no one is looking) you know the business end of a short sword and are no stranger to death. |

| kam_Islash11-25-04, 04:30 PM | Orc Barbarian: Yewg Ohnadie /// |
| Puck11-25-04, 04:41 PM | If you dont like PrC's much, go druid. Nothing is more scary then a core class 20th lvl druid. |
| StevenO11-25-04, 05:54 PM | If you go fighter/rogue go for a dwarf. I'm not sure what PrC would be good additions. I'd look at the character as a trouble shooter with most of his skill points in non-Dex areas (skills that aren't hindered by armor) and play him as a fighter who has skills in other areas. If you want the sneaky/warrior type go with a human-elf and use ranger instead of fighter. A halfling works well as a sneak especially with the arcane trickster presented before. |
| WotCWannabe11-27-04, 11:13 PM | if you check out the previews for Races of Stone (or if you own the book), you should make a whisper gnome rogue. you've got a healer and wizard in one, as well as a fighter type, what the party is missing is the rogue's skills (and sneak attack!) the whisper gnome rogue is something I've been wanting to make for weeks now (ever since i first laid eyes on that race!) |
