Trinkets, cool things, actually beneficial items are all good. It's more of a "What's some good items for cheap?" then a class-specific question. |
| Heahengel03-31-07, 12:19 PM | I would make sure you have +1 armor, shield and weapon covered first. You might think of upping +1 top +2 on armor or shield for 3000 also. Then there are the +2 to a stat items at 4000, amulets of Natural Armor +1, Ring of Protection +1 for 2000. Also a cloak or vest of resistance +1. Those are the solid choices. If you don't feel like simple number increasers or you already have that covered, then its more a matter of taste. If you have the magic item compendium, there are a lot of interesting low level things. In the DMG, I always like to have a Quall's feather Token, bird around for emergency messages. Heward's Handy Haversack is great for carrying stuff. Horseshoes of speed if you ride a lot (although thats a bit expensive for a non-central item at that level). You could get a pearl of power for your spellcasting. A hat of disguise always adds interesting options. |

| Heahengel03-31-07, 01:31 PM | Also, the Magic Item Compendium has the Hexguards, bracers made specifically for hexblades at 3100gp. Still, I would say gauntlets of ogre power and suchlike would be better first. |
