| Hideous Phidias08-05-07, 11:54 AM | Ok, I just had to tell this story. My party is doing a Ptolus city campaign right now. We are only third level but made some money. The party is a sorcerer,a fey, a samurai, a urban druid and me the swashbuckling Rogue. Thw world is a steam pump high magic. Well like I said we made some money off the last adventure and were doing the down time things, making magic items, gear shopping and just wasting time. The first day was consumed by a shopping trip were my character spend six hours looking for the perfect hat, and yes we roleplayed it all. By the second day my gnome was getting bored so he started to cause trouble for the other party members. I thought it would be funny to put up fake wanted posters for the samurai and his dog (a deep hound). so off to the printers the sorcerer and I went. Maybe I made the reward to much, a thousand for him and five hundred for the deep hound. Or maybe I should have not put dead or alive on them. But well things maybe got alittle out of hand. The samurai took the the dog for a walk and by the afternoon saw one of the posters. He asked a the inn keeper about it but got little information other than where find the printer. From the printer he found out the posters were made by me. instead of just hiding and waiting for me or letting the whole thing blow over he ran to the worst part of town. You see the samurai had done a side quest which end up being for one of the local crime lords. In this quest he saved the daughter of that lord. So he wanted to call in his favor for that act. The samurai not knowing where to find the crime lord ran to the last place they met a bar down by the docks. I think you can see where this is going, some dock workers tried to well beat him to death and he ended up killing a few. So, covered in blood and wanted he again fled through the streets of Ptolus looking for the crime lord, this time at a club he owned. I don't what was better the disguise check of 6 with a blood soaked bed sheet or when he tried to get a ride from a 'taxi', dress like that. Well any ways with a little effort he made it to the back door of the club and talked his way in, some gold help to move things along. This is what he asked for; He wanted me and the sorcerer dis armed and thrown into the sewers with only butter knives. So, there we were sitting in a tie house minding our own business when in walks one of the highest level mages of the city. Next thing I know I am in the sewers stripped of my weapons and magic items, which were all stored mostly in my Gnomish battle cloak. It would not be a big deal to fight our way out of the rat-man infested sewers with only butter knives but I have a flaw that says if I loose my hat (The Hood of the Cloak ) I suffer a -2 morale penalty. Add that to the -4 for non standard weapons and I am at -6 on attacks. But it is worth it because I have never had more fun playing a DnD game then I did tonight. We will just have to see if the sorcerer and I can fight or talk our way out of this mess. So what do you guys think. Any ideas on how to get out this one? Should I just start working on a new character? |
| Kouk08-05-07, 05:02 PM | Maybe they're silver butterknives? |
| DrMorganes08-05-07, 08:37 PM | If by "Rat-man" you mean wererat, then you'd best be hoping that the sorcerer has plenty of direct damage spells and/or decent ranks in either Bluff or Diplomacy. Your odds of fighting your way out of a nest of wererats (without contracting lycanthropy) with butterknives is slim. If your sorcerer had the good sense to make use of his crazy-high CHA score and allocate some skill points to social skills, you might be able to walk out without fearing the next full moon... |
| Prator_the_Legendary08-05-07, 08:51 PM | Oh, if only you'd been given FRUIT knives! Then maybe you'd have a chance... |
| Mock2608-05-07, 08:56 PM | Cover yourself in all the filth and debris that you can find! I'm pretty sure that the wererats would think twice or thrice or more about attacking such a creature in the sewers! Or, embrace lycanthropy. |
| Holy_Beholder08-05-07, 09:18 PM | Or make a free sling and club, and fight your way out of stuff better. |
| Mock2608-05-07, 09:44 PM | If you can kill one of the wererats you can skin him and wear his skin and hope to bluff your way out. |
| Hideous Phidias08-06-07, 01:01 AM | When I say rat-men I mean rat-men. I don't know what they are really called but they are at best unfriendly to normal people moving out about their sewers. I am sure there will also be plenty of wererats and other horrible things down there too. Over DM loves the monster manuals and tomes of horror He knows most of the creatures and monsters by heart. Did I for get to mention that we are both dresses in our finesse noble garb and My new hat. But there is some light I still have my money pouch which had a large amount of gold left in it. |

How attached are you to your fine noble garb? I still think that you should either kill and skin a rat-man and and try to wear his skin as a disguise or cover yourself in all the mud and dirt and filth and debris you can find and try to pass yourself off as some hideous sewer monster. |
| Varia08-06-07, 02:22 AM | No comment on the sewer issue, but I trust you are aware that you committed a serious crime (reckless endangerment of the samurai, at the least, plus, of course, libel) in putting up the fake wanted posters, and are most likely criminally liable for deaths/injuries sustained by those trying to act in good faith on the posters too? Chaotic stupid is not a survival trait. |

Chaotic stupid is not a survival trait. Your thinking to modern about the legal aspect of the wanted posters. I was and willing to pay any for the reward. How they get him is not my problem, those who try do so at their own risk. It could almost be looked at as a mini adventure hook. If a sage hires a party to go on an adventure to get a magic item is that sage responsible for any lives of adventures lost in the quest? No because the adventures took the task on to themselves. They could just let the city guard handle the law and order thing. If the guard had arrested him then maybe yes I would be in trouble. But seeing how he was working for a crime lord only days before and going to met the daughter later that week for a dinner I think that the wanted poster were not to much of a stretch. As for the Chaotic Stupid, there is no need for name calling. I did not expect that the crime lord would send such a heavy gun for so little an act. It is not like the samurai is some sort of high ranking member in the gang. He was just an adventure who did a job. The DM made the call on who got sent. It will be ok I have a50/50 chance of making it out I figure. |
| Hideous Phidias08-06-07, 02:57 AM | So he killed a few people in a bar fight who attacked him first. Anyone who attacks an armed and wanted warrior with nothing more than make shifted weapons deserves to get killed. The noble outfits will be the first things to go if it helps my character find a weapon or way out. I don't care if I end up naked in the town square, I need to pay the samurai back. Yes I want to more to him. |
| Varia08-06-07, 03:10 AM | People are allowed to hire private investigators (go get my magic item), etc, but they are NOT allowed to hire assassins, which is basically what you did as soon as you put the "dead" in dead or alive on your poster. If you hire an assassin then you ARE criminally liable for his actions, in ANY age; it is NOT just a modern thing. Best I know, Ptolus law does not permit contract killings, which is what that poster amounted to as soon as you put the word dead on it. And of course the family and friends of the men who died probably wont be amused by your "joke" either, and may have something to say to you also, possibly involving concrete shoes and/or baseball bats. It WAS criminal, it was irresponsible, and it was dangerous, both to others and yourself, in ANY age. It may have been intended as a joke, but it was not... clever... But more to the point, you were bored, so you decided to start inter-party grief, which is widely agreed to be a seriously bad idea and usually the beginning of the end of a group. Because you were bored, AND you really couldnt think of anything better.... I think chaotic stupid applies. |
| Hideous Phidias08-06-07, 11:51 AM | Maybe I should tell you about my characters background. First and for most I am a PIRATE. I come from a clan of whisper gnomes who specialize in air-piracy. I am in the city looking for new tech to improve our airship. My identification papers are forged a major crime in this world. If I am found out for the papers alone it is two years in the salt mines. So the law is not something I am to much concerned about. I know maybe I should work harder to hide my crimes but what fun is that. Wanted posters for a person, being posted by people of power in Ptolus is not unheard of. You are forgetting that in a society with nobility, the nobility have certain rights over the common man. I am not noble but I can fake it for this. And if it comes down to the law getting on me nobility has a price in Ptolus. There is one family that will let you join and become miner nobility for 10,000 gold. I also plan to some day build a large clock work airship with some sort of horrible weapon to attack the city and steal all I can. |
| Prator_the_Legendary08-06-07, 03:02 PM | ...Uhh... you're sure you're nuetral? Stabbing your buddies in the back like this, whether it's lawful or not, is generally thought to be an evil sort of act, as is stealing an airship to make an air-raid on the city that doesn't have anything you really need in order to live/succeed. Would the samurai ever have done anything like this to you, if he had been given the chance? Would this be a bad time to say I hope you die? |
| Derren S.08-06-07, 04:20 PM | Another case of someone who thinks that chaotic neutral means "can do everything because I am a psycho". Face it, you are CE and should be imprisoned for the prank you played. |
| Mock2608-06-07, 04:23 PM | ...Uhh... you're sure you're nuetral? Would the samurai ever have done anything like this to you, if he had been given the chance? Would this be a bad time to say I hope you die? Well, if you have two buddies and stab one in the back but tell the other one that you are not going to stab him in the back then the evil deed and the good deed balance out in a state of neutrality. :D |
| Kouk08-06-07, 05:08 PM | ...Uhh... you're sure you're nuetral? Now I hope your butterknives aren't silver. |
| Shaggy_Shaggs08-06-07, 05:12 PM | I think an appropriate counter-prank would be for the samurai to organize the planet's biggest grandest chili cook-off and invite everyone in town, while this guy is still down in the sewers. And then weld the manholes shut. |
| HermitIX08-06-07, 05:38 PM | Steam PUNK! |
| Stumm_Dolch08-06-07, 05:50 PM | You started losing me at "steam pump", and completely lost my interest with the 6-hour hat shopping roleplay. Good luck with your knives or whatever. |
| Amon_WinterfallIV08-06-07, 06:33 PM | Your actions could have resulted in the death of your companion. Privately, I think you deserve what you got. If this isn't illegal, it's at least "Evil"--this kind of malicious griefing isn't a good thing. And you've got yourself somewhat screwed by being dumped in the sewers--it's probably not too difficult to get out unless he's also decided to lock the sewer grates. Maybe you are just running a pranky campaign. But PvP isn't a funny situation, at least for me. |
| Hideous Phidias08-06-07, 07:31 PM | So I am working my way to evil. I never said I did not deserve what happen to me. It maybe a little much for the sorcerer who just went along with me to the printer to get the posters. He did not have much to do with the prank. But the samurai has a thing against arcane casters.... I know that the DM would not just start throwing stuff at the samurai to far above his level, meaning if he keep his head he would be fine. I do not expect the same for me but I love a good challenge. I figure that we are a group of people that needly put our and others lives in danger daily, so the prank had to be up there. I any have let thing get a little out of hand with dead or alive but I was also willing to drop all the cash to bring him back with out he loss of a level. I honestly thought he would thinks through better instead of running all over the city as a wanted man. That is why I was sitting a cross the street in th tea house waiting fro him to run up and demand I fix things. The reason behind the joke was the deep hound. He randomly went out and got one from an exotic animal dealer. He has no ranks in handle animal and the thing is bigger and more powerful then him. I would have been fine with if if we had more levels and he had a way to train it a head of time. I am waiting to someday just be eaten by the damn thing. So i don't think my actions are to random. maybe the method I use to show my displeasure was a little much but it got him to pay attention to me. I honest love what he had done to me I wanted to test hs character to see how well he could get him self out of a bad spot. I was hoping that he would not fall back to much on having to fight his way out like many fighter type do. He did a little but then he use social skills to get to friends and have his revenge. I see this as a test for me too, it is only far. I tested his skills and now he test my ability to fight my way out of a bad spot. He did not know about all the negatives I would be getting but it makes it all the better. By the way the player out of character thought it was funny as hell. The only one to have a real problem with any of this was the guy playing the urban druid and that is mostly because he did not get to do much in the game this time and he is afraid that this is going to lead to party infighting. I personally if I live want to by the guy a drink. |
| Hideous Phidias08-06-07, 07:53 PM | I think an appropriate counter-prank would be for the samurai to organize the planet's biggest grandest chili cook-off and invite everyone in town, while this guy is still down in the sewers. And then weld the manholes shut. I think that may be his plan B. He said something about a second part to his grand plan. I thought using my battle cloak for his napkin was bad. I don't want to be washed away by a giant wave of sh!t. But it would be fitting. Hopefully the fey can save use before the wave hits!!! |

So, you are playing a disruptive, spotlite hogging :censored: and you want OUR advice how to get out of this? Apologize profusely, both in and out of character, and promise never to do stuff like that again. You are lucky, if I was that Samurai player, I would be having a serious talk with the DM around now, about "it's either him or me". He seems to have a sense of humour, so apologize and stop the disruptive behaviour. Yes, I know "It's just what my character would do":rolleye2: but that excuse is BS- as it was YOU that designed that character. Players like you have been tossed out of worse games than that for reasons not half as good. So- you got off easy, so man up, be mature, apologize and STOP IT. Maybe you might have to bring in a new PC. Better than finding a new group. |

Maybe you might have to bring in a new PC. Better than finding a new group. I have a real dislike for people like you, as you most likely do for my type. One it is just a game, so when you say you would have been it is me or him ,I say get a life and learn to take a joke? I could see being mad if did something like this in real life but again it is a game. Why do people always have to play the team player. Most of the time I play the good little whatever and do my part and then some. Everyone in a while it is good to shack things up. It is that start of a new campaign and a good time for a joke or two between players before anyone gets to attached to their character. If he wanted me die then I would have gladly fought him or anyone he sent after me until I was gone or he felt satisfied I suffered enough. But unlike you the guys I game with like a good laugh and can give as good as they get, hence the sewers and butter knives. I would not play DnD with any other kind. If you pulled that him or me crap in this group over something so small or smaller you would have found that you just outed yourself. You have to remember it is only a game. I did posted it because I needed help of thinking ways out of it, I just thought it was funny. I thought some people might have find the giant whole I dug for my self funny. Everyone in my group found it funny. I guess maybe you had to be there and hear the roleplay. A few of the other jokes and back stabs in the history of the group. One The DM once played a wizard and when the time came for the largest battle we had face yet in game he simple walked away. In truth the was walking around the hill waiting for the two parties to kill of most of each other then come in for the kill and take all for him self. It did not work out to his plan due to a few good roles on my friends part. The whole party once let one of my characters trapped in a thief catcher because it was to much trouble to get him out. The now DM played a warlock in the last campaign he stole an artifact from me that me "happy" and use his eldritch blast to destroy it and killing me in the process. Thing that happen in game should not effect your real life, other wise you will end up hating any DM the kills you character. As for getting out of it, I maybe down in my attacks, armor class, and skill but I still have a few tricks. I think I can live through the ordeal and if I don't so what. It was only the third time for this campaign still early enough to bring in a new character and still have a good history with the party. |
| Mock2608-06-07, 09:55 PM | .... Personally I don't see anything wrong with shaking things up every now and then, and I don't see anything wrong with playing evil characters. But, it is a team oriented game. Players have to work together and get along in order to play and enjoy the game. Additionally, the characters need to work together and get along in order to have the greatest chance of succeeding in their goals. Just as a player wouldn't play with a jerk/idiot/moron/ash-hole in their group, characters wouldn't adventure with such a person. Why would a character trust his life with someone who proved that they don't give two copper pieces about his life? They wouldn't, regardless of whether they were good, evil, neutral, or any combination of the various alignment traits. Evil does not mean stupid. I completely understand that this is a fantasy game, but it is based in reality and has huge elements of realism in it. For me, one of the biggest elements of realism is the need for characters to get along and work as a team. This doesn't mean that they can't shake things up now and then, but it does mean not screwing over other members of the group, because if they did, those characters screwed over wouldn't continue adventuring with your character. And, while it is true that it is just a game, you have to remember that people play the game to have fun, and when some other player goes out of his way to be a jerk himself (I'm NOT talking about you or anyone else in particular, I'm just generalizing) or have his character be a jerk it can take away the fun of the game, so it is only natural that they get upset in the real world over something that happened in a fantasy game. (Just think of a situation where your DM is constantly singling out your character and repeatedly killing your character for no other reason than because he enjoys it. Chances are you'd get really fed up and upset with this behavior, even though it was just a game.) Take care and have a great day.... ciao, john. |
| Hideous Phidias08-06-07, 09:57 PM | Oh, had forgotten but, sense everyone is starting to get on my case I think I should bring it up now. I told the DM the guy playing the sorcerer and and urban druid about his plan a week a head of time and no one said anything about it. If the DM said no that that would have been the end of it. I am not trying to place any blame on the DM, it is all on me. But that was the point to stir up the pot and see what happens. |

In fact, I tried to help out by giving you some advice on what to do down in the sewers full of rat-men while you were armed only with a butter knife and clad in your finest raiments. |

You know the sad part is if my character lives through this I think he would have more respect for the samurai then ever before just for the sear scope of what he had done to me. I figure it is like when two men fight a dual to first blood and after they become the best of friends. But he started it with buying that damn deep hound. The thing gets to huge you know. Think about that a huge dog in a city campaign. But in truth it was all in good fun |
| Hideous Phidias08-06-07, 10:16 PM | To tell Mock 26 the truth the only one who did not have fun was the UD because he did not get much time in. But we have a party of five and we all did our own things and his as training with a fire arm. He got what he want out of the game a writ to carry a fire arm in the city. He just anted more time for his characters goals. I do fell sorry about that and even told him next time that he should be the main focus. The thing that took up the most time was the role playing of the shopping of me the sorcerer and the samurai but we were having fun with it. |
| Hideous Phidias08-06-07, 10:30 PM | Totally agree. Now I hope your butterknives aren't silver. Sorry to tell you the DM said yes they are. Mock26 I do enjoy your advice I may end up using the ratman skin one. I could have been worse, I could have stolen his katana and sold it or something |
| Mock2608-06-07, 10:34 PM | Another option is to try and bluff your way into being the representative of some organization up on the surface and you've come seeking their assistance in some scheme and you need their famed battle prowess to help defeat some enemy up on the streets. And, you came only with a symbolic weapon (your silver butterknife) to prove your honest intentions. Who knows, you might be able to use the rat-men to kill off that hound! |
| Hideous Phidias08-06-07, 10:43 PM | Yeah that is the plan right now. The sorcerer is the face of the party so we are going to the Gandalf thing and have the mage talk to the grumps to get free passage to were we need to go. (The hobbit, Gandalf Bilbo and the Dwarves two by two and the home of Beorn) If that does not work we still have our gold. Then the silver ware comes out and the dying starts. As for killing the dog I think I will just repost the poster but just for the dog. The samurai had his horse stolen on our first adventure (not by me, a ratman). He left it tied to a rock out side a cave in the city and when we came out it was gone. The druid tracked it down for him and he had to spend a day in court to get it back from a stab that the rat man had sold it to. |
| Varia08-06-07, 11:23 PM | Well youre perfectly correct in that a lot depends on the nature and dynamic of the group as to whether or not your actions were acceptable. It is a dangerous path though, so continue to tread with caution. CN- Did you ever say you were CN like another poster stated? I must have missed it. Well if youre planning to eventually attack the city with an airship then you're right, obeying the law is not the biggest thing in your life. :) However, do bear in mind that if youre in the city on forged papers, and that carries a significant penalty, then it might be wise to not draw attention to yourself so much, lest those forged papers be put to the test. Its hard to raid the city with your Dirigible of Doom if youre working in the salt-mines chained to 12 other sweaty prisoners. :P Be flamboyant AFTER youre standing on the burning rubble! Make sure you have a good flag. A ratman pelt? No. I'm positive you mean a ratman-hide puptent with all the trimmings. See to it. You have fine clothes? If theyre uber quality, are they waterproof? If so, then tie the bottoms of your pantlegs shut, and inflate your pants so you can float in the, um, liquid if needed... It could be a whole new fashion trend. |

Dirigible of Doom (I love that) but think Iron vulture, yeah I am that lame. And those sweaty men are my new crew I also love the bit about the flag. Good idea about the pants forgot that little trick, my swim check sucks. |
| Hideous Phidias08-07-07, 01:20 AM | New question Do you think I could train the Deep hound to eat the Tibbit Urban druid. I mean the thing should at least be trying to chase him daily. Giant dog and tiny cat think about it. |

Giant dog and tiny cat think about it. If and when you get out of the sewers, go to the local pet store, buy up all the female dogs who are in heat, and release them in the vicinity of the deep hound. He'll be off and running quicker than a samurai can commit seppuku! |

He'll be off and running quicker than a samurai can commit seppuku! I want less deep hounds not more. The Samurai would try and keep the puppies. |
| DrStalker08-07-07, 02:34 AM | I want less deep hounds not more. The Samurai would try and keep the puppies. Could you please provide a short, concise summery of the problem the pet deep hound is causing? I've gathered that step one of this entire mess is "Samurai buys a Deep Hound" but I can't quite figure out what is between that and "decide to get my revenge on Samurai by trying to get him killed." |
| Mock2608-07-07, 02:40 AM | I want less deep hounds not more. The Samurai would try and keep the puppies. But they'd be yours! You'd have 30 or 40 deep hounds to his 1! |
| Hideous Phidias08-07-07, 03:05 AM | But they'd be yours! You'd have 30 or 40 deep hounds to his 1! Oh yes just what I want more animals to eat me out of house and home. Could you please provide a short, concise summery of the problem the pet deep hound is causing? I've gathered that step one of this entire mess is "Samurai buys a Deep Hound" but I can't quite figure out what is between that and "decide to get my revenge on Samurai by trying to get him killed." It is not the deep hound it is the samurai. He bought the thing with out thinking it through. I figured one stupid act deserved another. But sadly I too did not think things through and he went running all over town as a wanted man causing chaos, my bad. I like the dog but not on the party on adventures. I don't want it with us uncontrolled. If he were a druid or ranger of a level where he could take it as a animal companion, And no the druid can not he gave it up for something out of complete warrior. |
| danielinthewolvesden08-07-07, 03:09 AM | I have a real dislike for people like you, as you most likely do for my type. One it is just a game, so when you say you would have been it is me or him ,I say get a life and learn to take a joke? I could see being mad if did something like this in real life but again it is a game. It IS a game. But EVERYONE gets to have fun during this game. Not just you. Now, invite the samurai player and the DM here, and let us see what they say. If both of them had fun, then fine. |

Oh yeah let me run and wake to people up in the middle of the night to tell you what an a$$ I am. Then they will tell you that they agree with you and are going to tar and feather me for this horrible thing I have done. |
| Kouk08-07-07, 07:07 AM | If that's the kind of campaign it is, then there really is no problem. Your story actually is pretty amusing, but if most people consider the Samurai (as your story sort of reads like, "I did all this stuff to the Samurai and he got mad for no reason") in their shoes, they get upset automatically. This type of campaign is not common at all. Maybe the ratmen are just greedy, you could try offering bribes to get you to the surface (that you will pay when you get up there). If training is a problem, maybe you can exercise your Neutrality while it lasts and offer to pay for dog training (since it really is to your own benefit for it to behave anyway). Or, research what that kind of dog is allergic to, and feed him it in vast quantities by "accident". |
| Varia08-07-07, 10:57 AM | Some put me a chaotic stupied but I like to think of it as just evil Dick. no really I just listed myself a neutral although I maybe working to evil soon after this one. Dirigible of Doom (I love that) but think Iron vulture, yeah I am that lame. And those sweaty men are my new crew I also love the bit about the flag. Good idea about the pants forgot that little trick, my swim check sucks. Actually, I used to do a variant of the pants thing back when I was a kid- Did you know that when youre in 1rst to 2cnd grade if you put 2 pairs of water wings around your ankles you can walk around ON the swimming pool? It was quite fun and surprisingly easy and effective. :) As to the dog chasing the cat- thats a druid. I wouldnt try it. You're liable to wind up with him using the thing as a mount. :P |

And I remember doing the pants thing way back then too. but sadly I was always a big kid and the water wings on the feet never quite worked form me. But I have see stick kid do it. I was 5''8' in fifth grade but sadly I only grow a another 3 inches after that. I have always felt robbed. I also grow up by lake Champlain which is a large deeo lake and learn to swim before I could fully walk. |

| DrStalker08-07-07, 05:54 PM | If you're all enjoying your chaotic stupid campaign, good for you. Like many others I doubt your ability to tell if other people are having fun, given how selfin and self centered you appear to be, but *shrugs* Have your rat-man army steal the Samurai's katana and melt it down into spoons which they scatter into every dungeon you go into. Once he's collected all he spoons he can re-forge his sword. In the mean time he can use his deep hound in combat to make up for his lack of weaponry. |
| Jagyr Ebonwood08-07-07, 06:47 PM | From what you said, it sounds like your group enjoyed the session, silliness and all. Congrats! |
| Alyri08-07-07, 07:15 PM | So just what do you do in a tie room? Do you wear ties and make new ones or just sit around wearing ties and talking 'of affairs' ? |
| DrStalker08-07-07, 10:13 PM | So just what do you do in a tie room? It's a slang term for a brothel specializing in bondage. Old and Busted: the PCs meeting in a tavern New Hotness: the PCs meeting because they have a dominatrix in common |
| Hideous Phidias08-08-07, 02:15 AM | It's a slang term for a brothel specializing in bondage. Old and Busted: the PCs meeting in a tavern New Hotness: the PCs meeting because they have a dominatrix in common sorry I wrote it early in the morning and I don't spell check or prof read things I post on the DnD message board. The tie house was a Tea House where one drinks tea or whatever. If you're all enjoying your chaotic stupid campaign, good for you. So, what if I am self centered, I am human. Most people think of them selves first and many stop there. I like to think when it really matters I try to be there for other people, DnD not being to high on the list. But I do get cared away at time mostly with jokes. But I still Belief that everyone had an Ok time and it was only on game there will be others to make it up. I my friend were the type to right someone off for one thing like this than I would be happy to be rid of them. I rather be self centered than so petty. |
| Hideous Phidias08-08-07, 02:37 AM | Short story finish of this prank gone bad. We got the DM to run a short two person game tonight so that we would not take anymore time away from the other players. Even I have to agree that we did to much silliness last time., but sometimes when me and my friend Dave get going it is hard to stop. Well any ways we started of in a room in the deepest darkest part of the sewers. so, we started to follow a tunnel hoping to find the way out. The first tunnel crossing had about 12 dire rats in it. There was no dramatic fight with my butter knives, we simple ran the other way. We then found a room with a tunnel leading out to the shore and a ladder leading up. You guess it, like the idiots we are we when up thinking the tunnel to easy so it must be a trap. On the next level after walking a round a few tunnels this way and that we ran in to a few Otyugh, which we bravely ran away from again. We were able to find a gate quickly to lock behind us to save our sad lives. And so after found another ladder leading up. On this level we turn a corner headed tord light we saw and found two mindflayers. Yes to MINDFLAYERS, I was not happy about this wanting at least a fighting chance to keep the character a live. But in the end the DM only wanted to use them to chase us out of the Sewers. Once top side we were arrested and charged with forgery and assault. To make a long story short we ended pleading guilty and having to by our way out of the six year imprisonment. Which I payed all of trying to make it up to the sorcerer. We got a little more backstory out of the deal and a criminal record. No big deal. Now I just have to talk to the samurai and see if we are cool. If he wants me to make a new character because he feels his will not want to adventure after this then so be it. So that is the end of it. I know I an a self center ass at time but because of that I really don't care. And because it is just a game and my friend are not that petty that they would let one game kill a friend ship. |
| Kouk08-08-07, 05:04 AM | Keep the butterknife as a memento. Maybe get it enchanted :D |
