BUT he will not be one of those dreaded and often lamented cleric-archers with persistant spell etc etc. It just fits his backstory and the campaign too well not to be an elf cleric. He's something more of a wild west gunslinging preacher. He's a cleric above all else, but if you cross his deity or him, you get arrowed. Anyways attributes are generated by buying them with 80 points on a point-for-point cost. I was considering: Str 12 (enough to carry his stuff at least, and wear decent armor as the campaign progresses) Dex 16 (Need to be able to hit with the bow, plus extra initiative so faster on the draw) Con 12 (Need to be hardy when you're a wandering preacher type) Int 10 (Wanted 12 but not enough points to go around) Wis 18 (He is a cleric after all) Cha 12 (Don't want to spook potential converts with an ugly mug) However I wouldnt mind a little more Con for more HP or a little more Int for some skill points. Then again I dont want to take them from anywhere else. Any more experienced cleric folk wanna give me an idea if I'm on the right track, or if something else would work better. |

Later on, you'll have both the every-fourth-level stat boost plus can eventually get a periapt of wisdom. After all, I started an 11th level cleric with a 16 wisdom. She now has a 32 wisdom at 32nd level! Part of that was stat boosts every 4 levels and magical enhancements. And Cha isn't all looks. Personality fits in here too. And have you figured in the stat adjustments for elves? +2 dex but -2 Con (ouch!) If you don't like that, then maybe make him a half-elf instead. Granted you lose the nifty weapon prof bonuses for bow and longsword..... |
