cleric in the underdark [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-18-04, 08:01 AM k i got a real problem im playing a cleric of Tamara (NG silver dragon goddess from draconomicon) anyway i pray for my spells at dawn if i miss dawn i don't get any new spells till i pray again (players handbook)
and here is my probablem we are going into the underdark..there is light cause of the glowing fungi but how do i know when it's dawn ????

12-18-04, 08:13 AM Perhaps you have a sound inner clock - some people do in the real world.

After all, you have been waking and praying at dawn for a large portion of your life (the whole clerical training thing) so your body is used to it.

Or, you could devise/purchase a magical clock - a 24-hour hourglass perhaps, wherein the sand changes color depending on sun's position in the sky.

Other than that, perhaps you don't go underground?

12-20-04, 05:56 PM yeah, any cleric who must pray at dawn will know when it is dawn. Same thing happened to our Pelor cleric, and after awhile we found him a very good clock. Just too bad we didn't have anyone praying at dusk as well ;)
