| wackyears01-03-08, 02:03 PM | I do not want to be a battle cleric and i am just wondering what spells (healing, spells that boost my buddies stats, etc) so if u have the time to help that would be cool. :) |
| JerichoAlar01-03-08, 02:30 PM | the nice thing about clerics is that you have access to the full spell list every day to prepare from; so you don't need to pick ahead of time - at first level bless is good, magic weapon is good and shield of faith is good. look for battle buffs that have targets other than just "self" - you can cast these on buddies. at higher levels, take whatever looks nice (there's brief descriptions of what each spell does in the spell lists by class and level) don't worry about picking the healing spells ahead of time, you can substitute any 'cure' spell for any other spell of the same or higher level without preparing it beforehand. (the other nice thing about clerics!) |

Healing your buddy to full every time he takes dmg is a great way to burn through your spells in the first combat of the day especially at low lvls. The vigor spells are on your spell list so consider picking up a wand of lesser vigor as soon as possible to get your party members back to full quickly after combat ends. A couple scrolls of it work well at lower lvls. Summary: Prepare buff spells you can always switch one for a cure if you really need it. Have wands for out of combat healing to save on spells. Buff before combat if at all possible. Hit the enemy if you can spare the actions. |
