Could a level 1 Cleric/level 1 Spellthief steal, say, Inflict Light Wounds from himself, in order to gain an extra casting of, say, Golem Strike?

i dont have my book with me, but i think you could. I think it takes a standard action to "steal" a spell from a willing target, so if you took the time to steal your own spell, sounds good

You can only use stolen spells to fuel your spellthief spells, not spells from other classes. Level 1 spellthieves don't have any spells, so the only thing you can do with that stolen inflict is cast it or lose it.

Lol, sorry. Missed that. Meant to say Cleric 1/Spellthief 4

Oh, okay. If golem strike is one of your spellthief spells known... I think you can do it. You would be taking the standard action to steal inflict from yourself, and it only takes a swift action to cast golem strike, so you could do all that in one round. However, the spell only lasts 1 round, so you'd be better off saving golem strike until the next round so you can use a standard action to attack that construct. You'd be sacrificing one attack and a spell to make a sneak attack the next round -- doesn't sound too bad to me.

Yeah, it's an undead heavy campaign. I wanted a quick fix to sneak attack the undead (dipping Cleric for Grave Strike), but I wanted to see what else the dip could be used for.
