Can someone tell me where in the rules it says good-aligned clerics can turn evil clerics of other faiths, and can even turn evil outsiders as if they were undead? My DM and I insist we read that in the rules somewhere but we cant find it.

Thanks

Evil clerics: Never, at least not by virtue of them being clerics.
Evil outsiders: There are ways to turn stuff other than undead, usually by getting a certain domain, a feat or a prestige class. Knight of the Chalice has somethin that is a bit like turning vs. outsiders, but not exactly that.

Usual clerics, however, can turn/rebuke only undead.

That's not clerics. That's outsiders.

Your Dm may be getting that idea from 2nd edition. There was an alternate rule published in a dragon magazine i think..
Anyway it allowed good and evil clerics to turn each other as well as evil clerics to turn paladins.
