We play a Star Wars Campaign once or twice a month, set 5 months after RotS. We're level 3. We were having a good, if uneventful, session. Been playing a few hours and no violence, strange for us. So we leave Dantooine (sic) when a Star Destroyer shows up, captained by a guy we had killed. How dead was he? One player was using his corpse as cover. Anyway, we're in a fast transport with one gun, so we wisely run. We're about to get away when a Victory-class SD magicly appears before us and catches us in a tractor beam. We somehow missed a ship the size of a skyscraper.

Anyway, we're caught and taken aboard the Imperial SD. We defeat the first wave of troops, almost killing the Col. again. There are, however, up to 9,700 troops on a SD, not counting crew (5,000-37,085) The GM looks and says, "Huh, I wonder how you'll get out of this one." :banghead:
I don't mind a little railroading, especially when it has a purpose. Heck, I've done a little railroading myself. But to set us up against an army where the thugs are almost equal to us,
that's just ugh.
The sad thing is, had we just gotten into a bar fight on Dantoonine none of this would have happened. :nonono:

PS I think I found a way out of it, so we should survive. But we'll most likely lose our ship.

This question would do better posted in the forum that is dedicated to Star Wars. I assume most people who come to this forum are like me, I have never played d20 Star Wars.

Now in a general role playing sense, yeah, your DM is the type that gives railroading a bad rep. They were very heavy handed and unfair.

Yep railroading sucks.

Probably should have gone something like "We fly away as fast as we can." "Ok, you leave the star destroyer in the dust, but now the empire has an official bounty on you" or something.
