| vbg1710-30-06, 03:27 PM | I am a two weapon fighter that relies on my two shortswords of wounding for damage. But my dm and I argue about how they work. I read the rules as meaning the con damage affects both max hp and current hp. He says it only affects max hp. This sucks as it cost me 16000 gp to do this and the only thing it does is limit the amount of damage the baddy can heal. Because I deal more damage per hit than they would lose for losing one con point. We have looked in the dmg and still we argue. Are there any other examples? Am I even right? Thanks for your help. |
| TwiddleStootch10-30-06, 03:30 PM | you are right this time. for each modifier lost of CON, they lose 1 hp per HD, from both current and max. |
| Witch10-30-06, 03:30 PM | It affects both. |
| vbg1710-30-06, 04:45 PM | Thats what I thought but how do I convince him? And we have reviewed the dmg. I think pgs 289-290? |

A hit point score can’t be reduced by Constitution damage or drain to less than 1 hit point per Hit Die. Just use the SRD quote. It is an official source |
