I'm having problems figuring out what to play, the game is level 7, playing in FR, The Party has a Rouge, Wizard and Sorc, just waiting for me, I was going to be a Ninja (Rokugan setting) Problem is, I would steal the rouge's job, hence making him not want to play and having a bad outlook on the game. So now I have a major issue of having no concepts what so ever, so if anyone has a idea, I could use it.

go with a vegan Illithid Psion.

I dunno, but when I'm out of ideas, I try to come up with something so weird that I can't help but want to play it. Either that, or you could try to work in concert with the rogue, or just focus on the skills he isn't trying to use - he works the traps, you work the shadows. Good luck at any rate.

The party has no healer. Play a shaman. They are cool, getting some unarmed fighting ability like a monk, spells like a cleric (and turn undead), and an animal companion like a druid. I have a guy who plays a Vanara Shaman in a game I run, and it is very cool. He pretends to just be a dumb monkey most of the time, which is funny. But he is very effective in combat.

They were in a forested area, and the rest of the party had been subdued by slavers. He was up a tree in the edge of the forest with a bow. He eluded the slavers for a very long time, hurting or killing a few of them. Eventually he surrendered, but even then it is possible that he could have won against their superior numbers. Alot of this had to do with his incredible climbing skills and ability to heal himself when needed.

He took the Hero Domain (which is incredible) and the War domains I think. His hero spirit he called on for his power was a famous archer, so he got proficiency and Weapon Focus with the composite longbow from the War Domain.

Play a ranger specialized in two weapon fighting.
You can then invest ranks in hide and move silently. Not exactly a ninja but something similar at least in a wilderness setting.

A ranger build can also benefit your party. Track and survival skills will help the party in the wilderness. If necessarily you can act as a tank for the party protecting the spellcasters and giving the rogue some room to flank. Then get a wand of cure light wounds for some much needed healing.

Interesting Ideas, some I'll consider, we are apprantly going into the unerdark now... So I'm not sure wilderness is going to do much, I'm not really a fan of Rangers (3.0), Maybe their better in 3.5? The shaman sounds good... But, It's just not my cup of tea, maybe it's because I've already played one, or three? :p

Druid could be good. Your party really does need a healer.

Or if you'd be interested in archery, I've got some good archery builds that are 3.0 (it sounds like that's what you're playing).

Perhaps I should add some info... Thus far I have played a cleric and a shaman, not bad, but It would be nice to not be the healer, you know? But I guess I'll just take druid or shaman, again, seeing that the other pcs are all offensive casters (and a rouge...) Can't be so bad eh? Third time is the charm maybe?

EDIT: The only other thing that might work would be a shungenja, your thoughts?
