Hey all:

Having never played a crafter type of character before I thought I would put this out to the public for feedback.

The character is a basic human generalist wizard with lots of crafting feats:
- Scrolls
- Wonderous Items
- Arms and Armor
- Magical Artisan (crafting costs 25% less)

Just hit level 9 and I have gained a feat, any advice on what feat I should take?
I am not interested in crafting wands or staffs but would be interested in Rings at level 12.

The only other feat I've taken is Spell Focus Evocation - I fancy myself a fire mage. That got me thinking of Piercing Flame (10 untyped fire damage) from Sandstorm.

I have this prickly feeling that I am missing something, like I had it all figured out but have since forgotten what that feat should be.
So what feat should I take and why?
(Thanks in advance for your opinions.) :)

If your DM will allow it, the Item Familiar feat, found in Unearthed Arcana, will greatly help offset the experience penalties you're going to be dealing with. Just be careful not to lose it or anything.

Maybe you could take the Craft Homunculus feat, so you could create a Dedicated Wright (from the ebberon campaign setting book). It's capable of crafting for you, while you go out adventuring. Legendary Artisian is also a viable choice it reduces the XP costs of crafting by 25%.

On a related to crafting but still rather cool. If you now anyone who ownes the Strongholdbuilders guidebook and your DM allows it you could always take the Landlord feat. It grants you an amount of gold dependent on your level you can only spent it on building a stronghold. (it doesn't give you cash, the gold represents an undifined amount of favors from NPC's) So you could build a nice wizards tower with a large magical lab.
