| quaiven03-19-05, 10:08 AM | There is no real rule about it, the DMG even has rules on how to create new classes. So long as the DM approves and everyone is having fun go for it. Just some suggestions though: Dont create one trick ponies (a class that can only do one thing, but does it really really well), don't give a new class penalties that aren't really penalties (ie create a fighter type that is only proficient with bastard swords and light armor when you only intend on using bastard swords and light armor anyway) Edit: It also helps if you post your homebrew classes in the Classes Forum so others can help with the design and balance. |
