When creating a character with the point buy system, do you add racial bonuses to the totals afterwards or do you ignore them in the point buy system?

For instance, if you're creating a Dwarf, do you buy up to 16 for strength and 12 for Charisma then get the +2/-2 to end up with an 18 STR and 10 CHR?

First you spend the points however you want. Once they are all set, then you adjust them with the races modifiers. So yes, you buy up to 16 and then the dwarfs racials adjust it up to 18 (and it is +con -cha, not +str for a dwarf)

What you do is take the Earth Dwarf template (from Hypertext SRD) and make him up with three levels of Dwarven Paragon. +4 to CON, +2 to STR :dancin:
