| Sguss02-09-05, 11:43 AM | I am sure there are other threads like this but I thought it would be a neat idea to share with others your current character(s) you are playing with or getting ready to play for disucssion purposes on role-playing ideas, character builds or simply bragging rights. Right now I am in three different campaigns and soon to be in a 4th, they are with their respective characters: #1) Underdark, evil party. My character is a LE Hexblade 1, Rogue 1, noble-born drow. I haven't decided whether to take him in the Arcane Archer prestige class or the Assassin class. Right now, he acts as one of the two party's scouts and so far has proven himself a good tactician. #2) City of the Spider Queen, good party. Air Genesai, 8th lvl wizard with Bloodline of Fire and Improved Familiar (small air elemental who is kick-ass) as a couple of his feats. He is one of two wizards (the other is 10th lvl) with the party and both are "elitists" and provide some comic relief for the party. The air elemental is the party's favorite LOL. Not planning on multi-classing, but will start looking into more summoning and planar abilities. #3) Living Greyhawk. 1st lvl Druid Flan from Yeomary. Typical druid I guess with a wolf animal companion. Not planning on multi-classing. Follower of Elhona, but also follows the precepts of Beory, Pelor and Ubad-hai. Update: since I posted this originally, this character has risen to level 2 Druid. #4) Upcoming, going Epic Homebrew. 15th lvl Wood Elf Scout, focused on archery. All I can say about him is "oww" if he is on the move with a bow in his hand. Shot on the run, many shot, skirmish, ect. are some of his feats/abilities. This character is ready to go into the Order of the Iniatate of the Bow. OR, this human 8th lvl Rogue/7th lvl Swashbuckler with some unreal interpersonal and balancing-type skill checks and pretty handy with dual weapons. Let's hear yours! Sam |
| Elric Lornhood02-09-05, 11:52 AM | -Ancient Greek style fantasy campaign, set in the ancient days or our old homebrew world. More a classical Greece period. I play a Spelekian (greek) achilles/alexander type hero named Aiax trying to bring back the old glory days of heros. Breastplate, spear, shortsword, shield. We used the bloodlines to make up a Heroic Bloodline from his decendancy from Aiaxalon, a hero from the golden age of heroes a thousand or so years ago. Fighter/bard with lots of athletic stuff like ride and jump, Run and Acrobatic feats... Traded some bardic music abilities out for a bonded mount inspired from Alexander the Great and Bucephalus. He has become my favorite character of all time. |
| Holy Warior02-09-05, 12:00 PM | i have had several years of role playing experiance, and throughout this time, i have played a decent variety of characters with varying strengths/weaknesses. currently i am playing a rogue/swashbuckler gestault, and i am loving it. it is working out especially well since our DM is focusing more on role playing and character development than in combat. the skill selection combined with the trap sense and abilities to avoid traps has proven its worth several times over. throughout my gaming career, though, i have found my favorite class is the paladin. he is excelent in combat, and he has a long list of extreemly usefull class features. aura of courage is great, especially when fighting things with the aura of fear (obviously). this might make the differance between winning the fight, or cowering in the corner waiting for the breath weapon of an ancient red dragon to come smashing down on your head. the only weakness a paladin has is the code of conduct, which may not be a weakness at all if used properly. true, he may try to be a diplomat when the whole party just wants to make a crater where the bad guy is standing, but if you have a DM like mine, actions like that reak of bonus XP. also true, the paladin does not have the feats of a fighter, but he does have magic to some degree. i have found that some of the spells can have many interesting uses in game. oh well. that is my 2 cents on the topic. |
| Nardo Polo02-09-05, 12:21 PM | 1. A Ghaele with 4 levels of Paladin. 2. A Doppleganger with 4 levels of Monk 3. A gnome Fighter, level 3 On Reserve or backup characters: 1. A chihuahua that has been 'improved' by a wizard with enough intelligence to attain character levels and speach with 11 levels of rogue. (Don't ask why, someone said yes when they shouldn't have.) 2. A werebear fighter. 3. A 9th level cleric of Kord. |
| TroubleWolf02-09-05, 01:38 PM | 1. "Scruffy Jack", a 10th level Lawful Neutral half-orc Rogue (about to become a wererat). 2. Grath Redhorn, a 1st level Minotaur (using the Savage Species progression). 3. (Starting Thursday) Alex Benjamin, a Chaotic Good Barbarian/Warmage gestalt. Eventually he'll go Barbarian/Dragon Disciple. |
| HammerHeart8102-09-05, 01:51 PM | 1.Iron Kingdoms Campaign-fighter/paladin of Morrow, a former mercenary/strong arm that now takes up the sword to fight evil. Currently providing underground resistence to a city taken over. 2.homebrew-a human barbarian. Recently vanquished a powerful demon. Now investigating an underground lost fortress. |
| yeknom02-09-05, 01:56 PM | Not playing any characters at the moment (haven't played any for a few years now) but the party I DM for is.... KoK game 10th level Paladin - human 11th level (8th level Cleric/3rd level Paragon human) 10th level Druid - human 11th level Druid - wild elf 11th level Paladin - human 10th level Spellsinger - high elf 10th level Cleric - human 10th level (1 lvl of Gnoll, 9 levels of Ranger) Big group........ |
| Black Kitten02-09-05, 02:26 PM | Current character: Dislan 'Heartwarden', Human, Cleric of Sune lvl 8 (34.000xp). CG. Dislan is a caring, motherly figure in her early 20s. She had her hair magically changed to red (after it became white, long story). She travels with a bunch of lunatics (REALLY), in a group called IKEA. She is pregnant at this moment from a Cleric of Lathander, but she hasn't told the group yet. In some time the group will travel to Chult from Amn and Dislan is busy (in secret) to find someone to replace her (still thinking about that character). When the party leaves for Chult, she will depart on a horse and travel back to Cormyr, where the father (NPC) of the child lives. She is specialised on healing and protective magic (which makes her rather useless in the fights, cos usually the party have slain any creature before she gets a spell out) and cares for her party like a mother. At times she can become rather angry (when people steal from her) and many a person has found himself ******** his pants since Dislan arrived with a very strong, axe-wielding Dwarf carrying a Flaming Axe (aka Glime, our Barbarian/Frenzied Berserker) saying that she isn't afraid to use the Dwarf. But usually people survive such encounters with a minor mental illness of paranoia. |
| edwardsobel02-09-05, 02:35 PM | Homebrew world: earth Dwarf Fighter 4/Dwarf Paragon 1/ Stonelord 5 Another game that hasn't started yet Whisper gnome thief 1 / Warlock 2 Living Kalamar game: Human Shaman (eagle totem) |
| Kalanth02-09-05, 02:39 PM | At this time I am playing a character in an Eberron game. Elborn Medani Psion (Shaper) 3 / Ranger 3 This character is a blast to play. I have the influence of being a member of the house Medani, but I am not a dragonmarked, so I tend to get cast aside by those not quite in the know. I am also an aspiring professor, looking to teach at Morgraive University in my future, so I have dumped tons of points into the Knowledge ranks and tend to be able to figure out a bit of everything we encounter (traps, temples, monsters, etc). In combat, I don't deal massive damage because I have a 9 in strength, but I manage to be the character with the most kills and most combat experience. It has a lot to do with the fact that the character is apprehensive about being a hero or adventurer, and tries not to be hurt in combat, so my future levels are going to be in Elocator, that way I can beat on people from a distance. |
| Rallaster02-09-05, 03:07 PM | Hello everyone. Underdark -- Evil Campaign Durak Fighter 2 / Rogue 3 / Invisible Blade 5 (Waiting for his Master Thrower and Rokugan Ninja) Forgotten Realms (It hasn't started yet and I can't remember the location) Snowolf Druid 1 |
| green_yawgmoth02-09-05, 03:22 PM | Lucian Drecavi. (http://www.3edb.com/viewCharacter.asp?cid=9027) We're currently going through the Bastion of Broken Souls mod, albeit a bit powered up for our characters. We only have 3 in the party, but each character could easily count as 1.5 PCs. He'll be going for the Agent Retriever PrC from the ELH. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/yawgmoth/kittyjig.gif |
| psionichamster02-09-05, 03:54 PM | Jeremiah Synclaire wizard extraordinare, man about town, and all around ham... Lvl 4. Human wizard with SpellFocus: Conj, Augment Summoning, and Spellfire Wielder (didn't even know about till the DM said, "would you like to...") was considering going alienist (what with the mondo bad-:censored: familiar and all, and the super-summons) but it looks like i will become a spellfire channeler (leaves more spells open for battlefield control, ability damage, and summoning, whee!) he serves as party leader most of the time, and is a citizen of waterdeep (from birth, too) tons of fun to be had !!!!! the hamster |
| SlayerMac02-09-05, 04:05 PM | Freeport - I'm playing Talin, a level 8 chaotic neutral sorcerer. Talin dresses like pirate. At level 6, I took Weapon Proficiency(firearms). Talin now walks around with a couple a pistols. When he gets in a battle, he usually fires his pistols before casting magic. Talin has a quick temper and often tries to intimidate anyone he is trying to get information from. |
| Gnom3Mull37702-09-05, 08:49 PM | Gudlem Ripplescotch level 5 fighter, 1 ranger, 4 Windrider. Has dire wolf chosen mount. A Gnome that deeply cherishes his hair, beard, mines, and has a fadcination with animals. This is in a homebrew world. Back up character to Gudlem is a Svirfneblin Cleric of Callduran Smoothhands ( havent came up with name), our current stage of campaign would allow for a svirfneblin if I were to die, at a +3 level adjustent of course! And in another campaign I play in, also homebrew world, I play a level 2 bard/1 cleric. He is a Twilight Gnome (same as whisper gnome). I really havent found a good name yet. Soon to be Divine Prankster! |

Once she figures out what happened to her, her parents are going to have a lot of explaining to do. :D 2 -- Rogue 10/ Shadowdancer 2 -- Human Female on same homebrew world -- This girl has been engaged to the Emperor of the realm, dealt with treachery, and left with the illegitimate older brother of the Emperor so her sister could become Empress. | Snommelp02-10-05, 01:11 AM | Unfortunately, the only characters I'm playing right now are in the Core Coliseum. They are: Cedric Fischer - NG Human Cleric of Pelor 3; completely devoted to healing, hates undead with a firey passion Snomm Elp "The Waist-High Fist" - LG Gnome Monk 3; thinks everything is a joke Tara Brightblade - NE Human Rogue 3; has aspirations of becoming an assassin Ala'andor Amastacia - NE Elf Wizard (Enchanter) 3; I made him to prove a point, but decided he's not fun to play |

| Zao Fato02-10-05, 05:38 AM | Got loads of Campaigns running at the moment and even more on the horizon. ok, where to start... Zack Wilder, LE Male Human, Paladin of Tyranny 2, Sorcerer 4, Spellsword 5 Has aspirations of taking over the world, and will do his damnest to do it. Dr Dominus Cavant, Male Human, Smart Hero 3, Technosavant 1 Is building a giant Robot, and is slightly insane, but only slightly, is in jail at the moment Corithmir Southwind "The Bow of the South", NG Male Elf, Fighter 6 Going to be a horse Archer, I have already planned it all out, to have both the archery tree, and the lancing tree. But is starting as a foot archer. Golad Ironstone, LN Male Dwarf, Cleric 5 For a steampunk homebrew world, will need more info before start. Brother Mordric, LN Male Human, Fighter 1 For an Eberron Campaign, going to do Monk of the Broken Blade, but starting in fighter was the better idea. Going to be Monk 10, Fighter 10, with Two Weapon Fighting. Thats about it |
| serow_#R02-10-05, 07:48 AM | i'm going to start a Half Orc Druid philosopher this coming session |
| Kittencaboodle02-10-05, 10:34 AM | I have a really cool idea for a Half-Orc Paladin of Correllon. :schemes: |
| eudas02-10-05, 12:08 PM | Telamon A farm boy from Tarovia, Telamon joined the Army of the Red Fox in defense of his homeland as a teen, and began adventuring after he was released from service. He journeyed through the Sunless Citadel to the Tower of Babel, and became a Paladin of Heironeous. He and his party are currently under a Geas to complete a quest, which is leading them to many interplanar locations. They are currently in the Realm of Dreams. [Human Fighter4/Paladin 3] Samir A common man forced into uncommon situations, Samir was an average citizen of a fair-sized city until he became unemployed. Desperate, he turned to thievery to provide for himself and his wife. The thieves' guild forced him to join, so that he could obtain training and so that he wouldn't bring down unnecessary attention on the profession (and so that they could get a cut of his takings). As he practiced his profession, he found his wife became distant. He spied on her for a while, and found that she was having an affair. Enraged, he entered the apartment, and fought the man, who took some evidence of Samir's new profession and ran away. Enraged and betrayed, Samir beat his wife, but he knew he couldn't stay. With a sly, evil smile, he came upon a plan. He got in touch with the thieves' guild, appraised them of the situation, and they directed him to a particular merchant on the edge of town. He visited the "merchant", and sold his wife to him as a slave in exchange for passage to the merchant's next destination city. He wound up working with the caravan for several years, gaining experience in the profession of a slaver, but he never forgot the rage and anger of his wife's betrayal. [Human Rogue 2/Hexblade 3] Jaidar Cain Jaidar is a grugach -- a wild elf. He never got along with the chieftain's son, but things only got worse when the chieftain's son was passed over, and Jaidar was selected to be the shaman's successor/apprentice. Normally, the balance of power in the tribe was managed between the shaman (who cared for and led religious duties/worship) and the chieftain (who handled more mundane governmental duties, and led the warriors). The chieftain's son was quite ambitious, and wanted to be the greatest ruler the tribe had ever seen, so he wanted to lead the warriors AND hold the religious power, to unite them in one office. With the path to legitimate religious successorship closed to him when Jaidar was selected, he was quite angry. The chieftain's son (and his friends) worked to make Jaidar's life extremely unpleasant, bullying him and being snide in public, and would attack him and beat him if they could find him alone. When the shaman passed on, Jaidar was in his late teens and was ready to assume duties. By this time, the chieftain's son had become quite a successful hunter and raider, but had not forgotten his ambition or his hatred and jealousy of Jaidar. He seized his chance, and they hounded Jaidar out of town, now that the old shaman was no longer around to protect him with his influence and powers. Jaidar barely escaped with his life, using every trick that the old shaman had taught him. Using his skills, Jaidar made himself some new clothes out of animal skins, and a new shortspear. He learned the common tongue out of necessity from interacting with human farmers, and helping their crops grow better. An exile, he traveled to a port city, and took on a job on a fishing boat, learning the profession of sailing by day and drowning his despair and sorrows in wine by night. He learned to use his skills and powers at sea as well as on land, and now works with a pirate crew on the seas of Erna. [Wild Elf Druid 2] |
| PinkVishnu02-10-05, 12:33 PM | I currently have two characters. The first is Allana the Newmade, female a 13th level elan psion. She's neutral and completely self-centered, much like me. The second is a 24th level male human psychic warrior. Alright, I got the EXPH and really wanted to test it out. Is there anything wrong with that?? |
| Platinumwarlock02-10-05, 01:22 PM | Current Character: Hamish of Clan Terendarss. Dwarf Rogue 2/Shaper 3/Shadowmind 3/Psionic Assassin 3 (Level 11). I'm also running a game which contains a... Dwarf Fighter 4 Human Rogue 4 (archer) Human Rogue 4 (going for Chameleon from Races of Destiny) Human Bard 4 (a court musician) Human Sorcerer 4 (earth-based) And, hopefully, if my one friend gets his one-shot off the ground, I'll be playing a Gestalt Warlock/Scout 15 soon. |
| On_the_wings_of_TPK02-10-05, 02:37 PM | In three campaigns run under 3 different DMs, with 3 different groups. Character the first. This one is probally my favourite becuase i have the most fun with her. She is a elf druid 3 with a wolf companion, I'm planing for druid 20. She is socially ocward becuase she was raised by a shaman and has almost never been anywaer near a town. She was once a member of an elvin village but has forgotten everything of them. Character the 2nd. Monk2/sor1 Hoping for: for the future Monk2/sor8/enlightened fist10 She is kinda cool, i like her machanics and she is planing out ok in game. That campaign is really powergamy so I'm having fun mashing sheep. Character the 3rd scout I'm planning on going the full scout levels and taking the shot on the run route with many shot. Should be fun. |
| GoofsterStud02-10-05, 02:58 PM | 1.) Paladin/Halfling Outrider (So far just paladin 4) 2.) Paladin/Annointed Knight (So far just Paladin 4) 3.) Barbarion/Champion of GWYNARF (haha I butchered the spelling) 4.) Cleric of Mystra/ 5.) Rougue (straight rogue) 6.) An epic level Frezied/Barbarian (With powers gaven by the shadow GOD/don't ask) 27th level I think. I really like the Holy Warrior concept. Man I need to play more Annointed Knights, I love the class, it's beautiful. Don't be suprised if I add that to 1 and 3 later on. |

| Feldspar02-15-05, 05:37 AM | Jasper Swift - aka The Guide - CG Half-Elf Ranger 1 / Cleric 9 / DM created PRC focusing on Luck 3 Cleric of Fharlanghn with the Travel and Luck domains (which rock). Not very stealthy, but very alert and has great tracking skills (Wis bonus helps a lot). Good archer (was better in 3.0), especially when using Fly (domain spell) so enemies can't touch him. Has to fulfill a lot of roles for a party whose only other members are a Halfling (dog riding) Paladin and an Elven Fighter who tends to use a Longsword two-handed. Jasper was raised by his Ranger mother in the Celadon Forest near the Duchy of Urnst. Years went by before the news of his birth caught up to his father, a roaming cleric of Fharlanghn. Reunited, Jasper accompanied his father on summer travels through the lands bordering the Forest. It was on these walks where he learned and embraced the teachings of Fharlanghn. Dagmar "Dag" Frostfang - aka The Trip Machine - N Human Fighter 2 / Sorcerer 1 --> heading for Dragon Disciple (White) Sorcerer spells are True Strike and Enlarge Person. Recently had fun playing "sweep the leg Johnny" against a group of kobolds; and I wasn't even enlarged for that battle :smirk: Dagmar knew it was time to leave the cold, harsh lands of the North (think something between Ffahrd and Wulf) when he started manifesting his powers. He'd merely been shunned before; now he felt fear would lead some of the villagers to violence. The awakened powers also shed a whole new light on the behavior of the witch who had raised him. She was always diagnosing him as sick and, of course, the best way to make a person better was a good bleeding. But now he thought he understood, it was something about his blood - something she wanted for her own purposes ... She'd kept him weak, weak for so long; but now he felt strong, strong enough to turn his back on everything he'd ever known. |
| Alex Graves02-15-05, 04:04 PM | I'm playing one about to start another; A young Aasimir Paladin, Pike, who grew up with humans but whose origins were kept a secret. After his village is destroyed by marauding goblins, he and his friend and father figure King Theodore, set out to figure everything out. So far we've been ambushed, outnumbered 3 to 1 (and survived) and met a Centaur Ranger who helped us save the unicorn (im mixing my own adventures and ones from the oremade game) who then healed us. It's going nicely. A mysterious feline rogue is going to join soon, and probably a wizard later. |
| DracoDM0102-15-05, 07:40 PM | I have an awsome character... he is a 3 rogue/1 illusionist (just started a new world) going for arcane trickster. The best part aboot him is that we have this other player in our group, Ari, who is big barbarian with a great sword. So the way battles ussually go is I enlarge him and set him loose on our enemies. He criticaled a queen ant to death in one hit last night. It was cool. :D |
| the_narrator02-15-05, 10:03 PM | Zaliz Galatz- tiefling/ halfdragon 1 monk/ 1 wizard/ 4 fighter/ 9 bladesinger. i know, horrific cherrypicking, but i'll be damned if he isn't fun as hell to play. plus his giant AC is nothing to scoff at. i just wish i could raise his attack bonus higher. plus, i just found an awesome spell book of awesome, the contents of which i still need to know. there's also James "Jimmy" Orwell, the fast 3/ ranger 3 in the future campeign i was playing. i remade the 3.5 DnD ranger into a future class. it's good stuff, though prolly so overpowered ya'll would flame me if i posted it. oh, and my newest character, Charlie O'Banion, fast/ strong/ soldier, another furute character. |
| Lily_Knight02-16-05, 06:30 AM | Forgotten Realms - LG Elvish Paladin/Rogue/Champion of Corellion, son of an elven lord, he is honourable and courageous to a fault. Typically storms into battle with a flower tucked behind his ear. |
| ShadowDragon868502-16-05, 06:47 AM | Forgotten Hawkian-style generica homebrew: Lillea, a 6th level Lillend (Savage progression from the Planar Handbook.) She was fun, until the craptaculata with the campaign. Iron Kingdoms game one: Caelan Calligan, 4th level Cygnaran Arcane Mechanik with a secret or two. The small secret is that he's a habitual aliaser; known by many false names and guises. Such as Brue Mosley, the drunkard. Or Dexer Pendrake, the man who pulled off the Desperado Bar Trick for a SIGNIFICANT sum of money. Or as Captain Alex Ashburn, Privateer in the service of His Majesty King Baird the IIIrd. The big secret is that his real name is Caelan Raelthorne, potential heir to the Throne of Cygnar. (He'd prefer that one to be kept a secret, heh.) I like Caelan. He's fun. Iron Kingdoms game two: Kavia Kerrigen, a 3rd level Iosan Arcane Mechanik. Taken in by humans after having been orphaned, she grew up with another girl about her age, whom she sees as her sister and won't leave, ever. She's fun, but the campaign is getting me down because the DM is running FR modules like Husstle and Sunless Citadel which give me NO opportunity to use my Mechanika skills. |
| ajb4702-16-05, 10:36 AM | Human Ranger 7/Wild Strider(homebrew PrC) 2 -- part of a band of orphans raised by a group of ex-adventurers. Elven Wizard 2 -- He is going to focus on creating magic items. And one we haven't played in awhile but might be getting back to: Human Fighter 4 -- mercenary-type wielding a greataxe. AJ |
| JabberWocky02-16-05, 11:06 AM | Tuskk - Human Barbarian/Champion of the Binding Flame In an Eberron game I'm participating in online, the DM has allowed me to rename the Champion of Gwynhywarf (or whatever) to better suit the flavor of the setting, but it's basically the same thing. Tuskk is a barbarian human from the Demon Wastes searching for anyone who would help his people against the demons preparing to surge up from the world beneath. Currently his journey has taken him to Sharn, where he has met the adventuring party and has set about making a living doing odd jobs and playing muscle long enough fulfill a protective vow he made to one of the party members. It's a really great game, and I'm really happy that I rolled well enough to make Tuskk something other than the hulking, stupid barbarian cliche (Int 13, Cha 10 :D) |
| SweetMeats02-16-05, 07:08 PM | Currently have two characters. Eberron. Tank/Marcellus. Warforged. Fighter 2nd. LN. Mute war machine going Warforged Juggernaut. Former mindless military drone, so he does whatever he's told. Often literally. Our druid named him Marcellus, but the rest of the party named him Tank. Wilderlands Solofar. Human. Illusionist 3rd. NG. Weak mage with a love of money, power and the finer things in life. Currently helping his friends restore faith in the gods to the populace of the world. Recently died after being surprised by an Ogre, and raised. Vowed never to make that mistake again. |
| Mad Daerek02-16-05, 11:00 PM | I currently have a 2 rogue, 6 fighter, 2 justiciar named Wade Dugan. A man bent on justice. Right now he is currently in outlaw status against the Zhents. My other character is a 5 Hexblade named Phoebe Yarron. Her twin sister was killed by Zhents. She is now hell bent on vengeance. |
| DemonsOfRazgriz02-17-05, 04:56 PM | Right now my DM is doing an Epic Campaign and my 3 characters that, I'm playing is a Mist Dragon named Azazer an Assassin/Ninja, Steel Dragon named Blaze a cleric, and a Mercury Dragon named Edge a rogue. All 3 are from Monster Mayhem and all 3 are Adults as regusted by the DM. Thanks to polymorph they look Human and the rest of the party think we are brothers. |
| pookha02-18-05, 04:28 AM | Brindle- CN Rog 2/Illusionist 14/ Shadow Crafter 1 Shadow Crafter is a homebrew prestige class. Each character in the campaign got to make a 1 level "Title" Prestige class with some nifty abilities. Brindle gets +1DC to illusions, +10% reality to all shadow spells (such as shadow evocation), and the bonus feat disguise spell. Brindle is currently on a quest with the other pc's to lock out the Gods from the world. He is very anti-slavery and believes that all creatures should be free. Upcoming campaign C.R.O.N.O.S (otherwise known as Cog Repair Organism Number One Seven)-Warforged FTR 2/ Clr 18 divine Rank 0 for a new Epic campaign to be started when the current one concludes CRONOS was originally just a construct on the Clockwork Mechanus, repairing the cogs. After being abducting during a raid from Limbo from Githyanki, and being exposed to the seething Chaos at the core of Limbo, it developed sentience and realized that repairing cogs for 1000+ years was extremely boring. It picked up the warforged template (or race if you prefer) at that time with the minor change that it is mostly clockwork instead of metal/wood, and that it requires clockwork skill to repair itself instead of armor/weapon smith skill.) It lived with some Gith for a while and learned the way of the warrior but realized it was unfulfilled. It wandered again close to the seething chaos at the center of Limbo and then realized that Chaos was the ultimate goal of the universe, and became a Cleric of Chaos. It led many successful raids on Mechanus, once returing with an entire 2 km. cog stolen from an outlying region. It developed a reputation among Inevitables as a force to be reckoned with as it led raiding parties. One time it took on an Inevitable too powerful to be dealt with, but instead lured it back to Limbo where the Inevitable was devoured by the seething chaos. KRONOS then was able to take the powerful Inevitables divine rank 0 (all the pc's have divine rank 0). It then decided that it was endangering its friends and raiding partners in Limbo and decided to adventure with a group it had met earlier that did errands for the Gods. |
| Poopsie02-18-05, 06:18 AM | I have 3 characters made up but yet to be played (Finishing up my DMing turn, about to switch off) Zembar, Human Warlock 1, CG He doesn't know much about himself nor do most people. He is very curious and is trying to find out his heritage and why he can do what he does(the warlock SLA) He has made a deal with the King to offer his services for whatever the needs in exchange to library access, transportation for research and crafting tools. Planning on getting a family tree/history write up for him and work with DM to have him discover is true heritage. Following Warlock up to level 20. Human Fighter 1, LG(no name yet) He grew up with his parents in a small cottage in the forest. He loves nature and being around it. His father trained him in survival (read: weapon usage, armor) and his favored weapon is the double sword. His father gave him a family double sword to use and he will not use metal armor(he doesn't like it). He'll probably be a bit ignorant of town life, and I'm toying with the idea to make him afraid of magic. Plan on taking him to Fighter10/Duelist8/ and not sure about the last 2. Ryan Outwood(ya ya I know :P) Rogue5, CN(maybe turn to CG later) He witnessed his parents assassination at the age of 5. He grew up in the alleyways of his town surviving through stealing and digging through trash and whatnot. He only stole stuff he needed and since most of the people in town knew his story they didn't mind a little bit of food missing here and there. His only friends were the rats of the alleyways. One of them is his pet now and he talks to him(voices in his head, thinks its the rat, he's a good bit crazy) He started training himself with small weapons like daggers so he could one day revenge his parents. About the age of 15 he was "discovered" by the local theives guild and invited to join. As much as he detested them he accepted because he knew he had to so he could find his parents killer. After going through hell for initiation he did some research and found out that his parents killer is competing in the arena matches in another town. So he's now headed that way... Plan on this guy going with the two-weapon fighting with daggers. Plan on going rogue7/invisible blade5/duelist8. Poopsie |
| Marauderk02-18-05, 09:47 AM | 6th level Monk LG the only human on the Island, Ryan of the Fist 12th level Human Paladin, Sir Markhiem of Lyfe. Still using his fathers armor and shield Non Magic 10th level Human Cleric Adair of Pyan that was LE and changed to LN over the course of the game. War and Fire a bit of a pyro |
| lurch_E_bean02-18-05, 02:01 PM | Right now I'm playing a FTR 5/Lasher 9 in City of the Queen. This guy is a machine with his whip. I found some obscure feat (Quintessential Elf I think?) that allows someone to threaten out to 20 ft. with a ranged weapon, so I used that (3.0 rules, and the DM and I interpreted the rules as saying the whip is considered a ranged weapon with max range of 15 ft. for all intents and purposes) paired with Combat Reflexes and a 16 Dex to put a hurtin' on anyone that comes near me. He's got 5 attacks (using Crack of Doom) at +18/+18/+18/+13/+8 that dish out 1d6 + 1d6 acid + 1d6 sonic + 12 damage, threatens on a 17-20, and can dish out +3d6 sneak attack damage if he catches you off guard. Next level he gets Death Spiral which will stun all enemies within 15 ft. of him that don't make a will save equal to his attack roll (1d20+23!). Hilarious moments from this character include: Trying to jump on top of a pillar a Drow mage was standing on, only to find out it was an illusion, causing him to fall to the floor on top of the real Drow mage. While fighting a gargantuan spider on the side of a cliff, he critically fumbled so bad he fell off the edge of the cliff, but used his Lasher abilities to wrap his whip around the leg of the spider, and just dangled there. He kept yelling at the party to not kill the spider, or else he'd fall. Then the spider decided it was time to retreat back to it's nest... Wrapping his whip around the neck of (what I thought was) a Drow and using my Cloak of the Spider to Spider Climb up the wall, trying to hang her. Turns out she was a vampire and just Spider Climbed up the wall after me. This did lead to a cool fight on the ceiling. I thought it would be a cool idea to trip the vampire on the ceiling so she would fall down to the floor. Unfortunately, you need a DC 30 (IIRC) strength check to pull someone with Spider Climb off a wall... Took on a cave of five winged monsters (like Gargoyles on crack) by himself while the rest of the party changed out of Wind Walk form. "I can take them." (Famous last words...) During the fight the DM's dice hated me, and thanks to the critical hit table we used my character lost an eye, and then was beheaded in the fight. :ghosted: Fresh from a true resurrection spell, he started the next encounter by flaying two Fire Giants with 3 consecutive crits. |
| TheOrderofchaos02-18-05, 07:40 PM | See the sig |
| _Bolshack_Dragon_02-18-05, 09:17 PM | Lvl.5 Half-Elven Favored Soul. |
| Callista02-18-05, 11:51 PM | Let's see... (For the record, I'm a female myself, which explains why all but one of the characters on here are female.) Leila, Female Wood Elf Rogue 2. CG. At the moment her personality isn't very strong yet... just that she has a bow her daddy made for her when she came of age, and that she's got a real grudge against orcs (which is good, because that's what we're fighting right now!)--you could almost call it prejudice, except for the fact that the orcs would kill her, too, given half a chance... Tyrah Kennet, Female Ghostwise Halfling Sorcerer 3. CG (yeah, that's my favorite alignment). Her background as part of a wild tribe of ghostwise halflings has left her with a love of nature and a determination to better her own fighting skills... but she's a gentle soul and has absolutely no tendency towards Rage or any other such aspect of the Barbarian character. Rather naive and tends to trust people until she knows otherwise... one memorable scene has her trying to learn the goblin language by unknowingly repeating back insults a goblin prisoner throws at her in his own language! Absolutely babies her corollax familiar--only recently has their strategy of Color Spray + Sleep during the first round of battle become obsolete, thanks to stronger enemies shaking off the spells. Anya, Female Human Barbarian 7, CN. Typical "feral" barbarian... with some quirks. After a raid by drow and their undead minions decimated her human/elven village, she left to live in the wilderness, where she's always been more comfortable. Hates drow; will rage and charge at anything undead; generally turns into a whirlwind of frenzy whenever she sees extremely Evil creatures. However, in social situations, she acts like the little girl she was before she ran off into the wilderness... so we end up with a barbarian who acts like a teenage ditz on her off-time! Extremely interesting to play... especially since a fellow party member, unbeknownst to Anya, is a drow who stays masked, disguised, and Disguise-Selfed at all times! Kady Small, Female Halfling Rogue 8/ Paladin 1 LG, of course--and my first try at either a LG character or a Paladin. Kady wields a Holy rapier and believes in honor... she will do just about anything to protect her party, to the point of acting a lot like a mother hen, especially to the party's other Rogue (who is Chaotic Neutral!). Though she wanted to begin training as a fighter as a tween, Kady was found to be too weak for full plate and a big sword; so she trained as a scout instead... and consequently has ignored the Paladin's call until now. Kady will often capture rather than kill creatures who aren't irredeemably evil, bringing them back to her Celestial employer for judgment. Her party generally tolerates her--especially since she's adept at using all sorts of magical items that come in handy, including that all-important Wand of Cure Light Wounds (or multiple wands, lately). The party's half-orc often hands her a rope and throws her across gaps, since her ring of feather fall protects her from the nasty consequences of most falls. More than one joke about Halfling Tossing has ensued... "Flip" Goldsparkle, Gnomish Wizard (Illusion) 3. CN. Wisdom, at only 8, is his dump stat... and you can tell! His high intelligence doesn't offset the fact that sometimes he does things that are just plain silly, though they might take a considerable bit of brainpower--such as developing a spell to dye his riding dog purple! Flip has the distinction of being the only one in the party not to have done a single HP worth of damage in battle--his spells hinder and slow opponents, buff party members, or generally cause mayhem (which is just the way he likes it). He "inherited" (with the help of Mage Hand!) a wand of Grease; and by far this is his favorite spell. There's just nothing like zapping the half-ogre's boots with that wand and watching him try to stand up! Flip is a prankster who doesn't take himself very seriously... just don't get him anywhere near a wand of wonder! I'm just learning how to optimize characters... so none of these characters are very complicated--only one is multiclass! I figure I really can't go wrong with core characters, and good feat/spell selection... just so long as they survive so I can role play 'em, it's fine with me! So far, it seems to have worked--none of my characters has yet died, though the last three are under DMs who don't believe in killing characters. *Sigh* A little more danger, please... |
| feartheinvinceblehamster02-19-05, 02:03 PM | when i get around to it, i will have a 1st lvl halfling sorcereor with a handgun |
| The Listener02-19-05, 02:39 PM | I play a 2rd level NG Half-Orc Fighter who is quite shy, and only wants to help people and do the "right thing". At a 8 intelligence and 6 charisma, he tends to be the "slow" one of the group. I also play a 4th level NG Fast 3/Soldier 1 Sesheyan, who is a top agent of a secret society in a D20 Future campaign. He is a bit of a technophobe, and has fantasys of finding a way to quit his job and just have a normal life. |
| PlutoniumKnight02-19-05, 06:28 PM | Right now an elven fighter who is going to get OOBI and kensai later. My next character is going to be a goliath, with monkey grip. fighter class, exotic weapon prof dwarven waraxe, and a light exotic weapon, i can't find any ones that i find interesting. |
| Sephanti02-19-05, 06:55 PM | 1.)Underdark evil party - Drow Ranger/hexblade going into blackguard 2.)Forgotten realms game - Wizard 6 going to focus on shapeshifting soon. 3.)Same Fr game - Paladin4/Fighter2 going into Divine champion soon 4.)Spelljammer rp - warforged fighter 6 no multiclassing planned |
| Fiery_Fighter_Drake02-19-05, 09:21 PM | I've had about 6 months experience worth of D&D. My DM uses the Living Greyhawk rules and limits us to only the 3 core books and we use the 28pt buy. Recently we completed a campaign and are now allowed to pick 3 rules items (be it classes, PrCs, items, feats, etc) from any of the Complete books, the Miniature Handbook or the Arms & Equipment Guide. 1st Character: Generic Half-Orc Fighter (with stat card), killed by his own animated sword. 2nd Character: Grimskull the Half-Orc Barbarian, killed by a juvenile black dragon while the rest hung back and shot arrows!!! 3rd Character: McGuyver the Halfling Rogue, later replaced by Rurik the Dwarven Rogue who was knighted for saving the day (but actually it was a kender!) My 4th character is different cause the characters from my last campaign were never seen again and the new campaign takes place several centuries later, slightly after the dwarves discovered gunpowder and cannons are available (it's a seafaring adventure). He's name is Delacruz, a halfling rogue trained as an acrobat and second-story burglar. I'll be taking the Thief-Acrobat PrC as well as the Tempest PrC and Oversized Two-Weapon Fighting feat in preparation for my next character (a dual bastard sword wielding half-orc fighter). Delacruz has Str 12, Dex 18, Con 14, Int 14, Wis 10, Cha 8. He wears a white mask which covers half his face, giving him an air of mystery. He'll be a dark character (Cha 8) but will help people when the situation calls for. He has a quiet confidence in his skills and will just walk forward to open a lock or search for traps without being told to do so, though he will protest if he feels he is being used. P.S. I have always wanted to play a paladin, but until my DM makes the aasimar race available for use, I don't think I will. |
| Serraco02-19-05, 09:53 PM | Hyus Cerbrio, Human Fighter 7 / Cleric 3 (DM has a leveling system where you have a second class equal to half your "normal" class. Not that I mind the second class or anything, but it's strange on how it works). 16, 14, 16, 11, 15, 14. Dex is at 14 due to Gloves of Dexterity +4. Uses Mithral Full Plate, Heavy Mithral Shield +1, and a Flaming Burst Bastard Sword. Also has a masterwork Heavy Repeating Crossbow. Cleric Domains are Healing and Strength, although most spell slots are used for healing spells. The elder of the current group at 26. Has a habit of trying out rings and wands to see what they do. Is also the only character without the Toughness feat (which was house ruled that a character gains +3 HP at every level, not just once). Has somehow criticaled a good amount of times, and takes the brunt of many hits himself. |
| TinManFan02-19-05, 11:55 PM | My current char (A DM PC, I know, I know) is a Human Cleric with VoP since 1st level named Fiordyn. Your typical Buff Cleric. A typical cleric in Sharn heading into his church until he saw some of the worse elements of his faith. He saw how the greed of certain religions and priests tainted their faith, so he decided to foreswear material goods with the exception of his Spear and his white robes (Thank god for the Orison Clean). Just got his hands on some nice damage spells so havin fun. Also likes to let the "Less than Stellar" companions he travels with know that Atonement is just a fingertip away, after they donate a hefty sum to the poor. Also our pally likes to keep a low profile, so he throws down the cure spells, they better start acting right. OOC, thinkin of going all cleric with him. Metamagic and divine metamagic are his staples. Also going into more Diplomacey situations so good thing that's at max. |
| Darth K'Trava02-20-05, 07:26 PM | My pcs: Shadarra Kendriksson: Female human cleric 9 of Thor in a homebrew campaign. Looks down on those who don't pull their weight in a fight. At a bit of odds with the party cleric of Pelor as he's more prone to attack with spells first, then get into fight. Highly respects the dwarf fighter/barbarian as it's the dwarf's dream to die in combat. So far, he has failed to do so, seeing various friends of his die around him. Kelstra Firehammer: Female dwarf fighter 12 in the Forgotten Realms world. With a party of dwarves starting in the City of the Spider Queen module. Fearless and usually the first into a fight. Valsherina Pendleton: Female half Silver Dragon paladin 12 of Tyr. Started out as human but after a "chance" meeting with the gods of Faerun, was changed into a half dragon. Is still getting used to the change, not to mention a new party to travel with as the previous party couldn't handle the facts after meeting the gods.... Isn't afraid to lay her life down if it means taking the bad guy down with her... Right now is a bit argumentative with the other Tyrran in the party, Randall the party cleric/paladin but that's due to a bit of the Dragon Rage coursing through her veins and making her act more irresponsible than she normally would. Shatira Helskin: Female human wizard 4 in a homebrew world (the same that Shadarra is in but a different continent). Right now with a party exploring the ruins of an ancient abandoned, ruined city looking for what may be a special water to make one stay young for a long time (and being paid to look for this "water"...) Previous characters: Keldaren: male half-elf ranger8/cleric1 of Ehlonna. He'd been the party scout with the group that Shadarra now travels with after dying for the third(!) time and deciding that that was it for him; that it was time to stay with his goddess and leave the world of the living behind. He was fairly good at fighting, having chosen the two-weapon fighting style of combat and using his limited ranger spells to good effect. Rozhena Ashford: Female human cleric29/divine champion 4 of Torm in the Forgotten Realms. When we ended that campaign, all were of epic level and had slain demons, dracoliches and even a demigod! Rozhena was the one who put the killing blow on the demigod, Gargauth, who'd possessed our party fighter to try to stay alive longer and then charged the party. She had to kill a friend to take out a foe but had decided that it was to be in resolving her Duty to her deity. She was, up until the end of the campaign, the only party member to NOT die during any combat! No small feat, considering how high the CRs were of the stuff they faced on a regular basis. Now, after an epic spell cast by her sorcerer friend gone awry, via a counterspell, she was obliterated from the Prime and now resides with her deity, no longer able to return to the Prime. |
| RoCkEtInToXiCaTe02-20-05, 07:51 PM | My most favorite character of all time is Aroc. He is a silver dragon sorcerer. He assumes human form for everything, even combat, he's level 11 and he is lawful good. He's not too strong, and being a wyrmling he could transform, but he prefers human form to fit in. The other characters don't know that he's a dragon, yet. He'll probably reveal that once he's in a tough situation... |
| Braids02-20-05, 08:36 PM | Jasper Human Noble* 1 ~ A character for the next campaign I play as a PC in. Has a long backstory involving a Medusa and some adventurers he wishes to find and kill. Only problem is that I don't know where I want to go with this one, the only PrC that would fit him at all is the assassin, and I don't want him to be evil. *A base class from The Dragonlance Campaign Setting. |
| PsionicRanger02-21-05, 10:38 AM | Human Psychic Warrior 2 Gestalt Shifter Barbarian/Fighter 1 |
| Ayago02-21-05, 01:21 PM | Anton Hammerfell - Level 2 Dwarven Cleric of Kord, domains Luck and Strength "Giant Slayer" and bestower of Random Action |
| Board_Rider02-21-05, 01:28 PM | Raveck Tiefling Scout 2/ Warlock 1 Archer type who hasn't been touched (read: took damage) in 3 levels. |
| Aricandor02-21-05, 03:26 PM | While I'm not a player myself, the group I DM has an at least moderately interesting party. Quite fun, since all are more or less support fighter characters. Joe "Scurvy" (N) - A pirateish human Rogue 4/Swashbuckler 1 aiming for Dread Pirate. After a dizzying chase through my homebrew world he finally managed to find his loved one, lost in a castaway. Is now travelling with the rest of the group as a support fighter. Mara (N) - A human Spellthief 5. Hasn't really shown any particular quirks. Did well against the undead they fought last time since she packed both a dagger and a quarterstaff. Support fighter. Wood (N) - Halfling Rogue 2/Bard 1/Druid 1/Warmage 1, hell bent on being able to fill any role, but not using the Chameleon PrC. Looking to earn respect amongst the nobles through bluffing his way into their private "parties" and owning the dance floor (+11 Perform (Dance)). Not very fascinating in combat, but the player says the character is very enjoyable. Is going to add levels of Cleric, Virtuoso, Seeker of the Song and Fochlucan Lyrist. <unknown> (N) - Human Fighter 2/Rogue 3, aiming for the Vigliante class. Hasn't got to play yet, after his previous ranger character got killed. The ranger died as a direct consequence of Joe's aspiration to find his love. <unknown> (NE) - Half-Orc Scout 4. Hasn't been played yet. <unknown> (CN) - Orc Paragon 4. Aiming for the Eye of Gruumsh class. Hasn't been played yet (World of Warcrack has claimed his soul). |
| Lawless02-21-05, 03:56 PM | Mystara Campaign Kenyota Jarlsecondson Human Male Barbarian2/Ranger2/Fighter2 An orphaned Atraughin of the Horse clan that ended up being raised by a Heldannic 'viking' and is now adventuring in Karameikos. He if course is conflicted about his heritage since he spent half his life as an Atraughin and the other half as a 'Norse' man. He's turning out to becoming a polygot with 5 languages under his belt and working on 2 more, all with a 10 INT. Fights with a +1 Ghost Touch Greatsword. Definitely the party frontline fighter and occasion pack mule, (STR 18, DEX 18, CON 15, INT 10, WIS 13, CHA 11). http://mystara.home.comcast.net/ Have several session notes and stuff. |
| GoblinBiter02-21-05, 10:55 PM | I'm playing two tanks at the moment; it's quite different from what I usually play. Dozer Warforged Fighter 5. Going into the Juggernaut PrC. He takes his nickname as a compliment (like a bull-dozer), but in reality he got that nickname because it's like he is sleeping most of the time since he just stands mouth agape more often than not. Str-17 Dex-10 Con -16 Int-8 Wis-10 Cha-6 Zorx de-Teskos Minotaur Barbarian 6. Dragonlance campaign. Just started playing him after my Solamnic Knight was beheaded in a random encounter. Quite unlike most minotaurs, Zorx is very tolerant of other races, thinking of them in a comedic manner, though he has a dislike for elves and the Knights of Takhisis of course. |
| Kadasbrass02-21-05, 11:28 PM | My currently only active character Zeekis The Psionic Kobold 3rd Level Telepath Psion. Zeekis is a coward and a very confussed kobold. He understands he has stange powers and has control over his known powers but doesn't understand what he is. His orginal tribe of Kobolds was destoryed while he was an hatchling, only with his abilities was he able to survive in the underdark long enough to come across another tribe which mistakened his abilities for Sorcery. He fleed his new tribe after being punished over and over because he was unable to cast spells of a normal Kobold Sorcerer. Found his way to the surface and thats where he's at now (Couldn't find the tunnel back down). Is slowly working his way to Shadowmind. Str 8, Dex 17, Con 12, Int 18, Wis 15, Cha 12 (Be the only character you'll see me use with Int as a main stat) Unactive: Gaza Traviswalker, 14 Human Battlemage and Karacuss Glitterscale, 3 Kobold Ranger. What can I say? I like Kobolds. I like playing something thats confounded by everything around it and speaking in a high pitched voice, and is flat out ridicules. It makes perfect sense for a kobold to say something along the lines "May predators eat all your hatchlings" or "May predators find all your eggs"... |
| Fiery_Fighter_Drake02-22-05, 03:09 AM | Looks like there are going to be some changes made. Instead of a halfling Rogue going on Acrobat-Thief, I've decided on a human Warlock as our regular spellcaster has decided to go Ninja. His name is Sinistra. Long story short, his family were killed by a band of paladins and favoured souls but they took pity on him, a baby who had yet to be touched by the evil of his family and the church of Pelor took him in. When his powers began to manifest, the church called upon the Order of the Blinding Shadow; a group of warlocks who had turned for the path of darkness and now follow Pelor's teachings. He trained with them until he turned 20 and joined a band of adventurers traveling along the coast on ship. I'll post up the full story once I've talked to the DM. I've had about 6 months experience worth of D&D. 3rd Character: McGuyver the Halfling Rogue, later replaced by Rurik the Dwarven Rogue who was knighted for saving the day (but actually it was a kender!) Delacruz has Str 12, Dex 18, Con 14, Int 14, Wis 10, Cha 8. |
| James Wildspell02-22-05, 03:23 AM | Currently playing a NG Fighter5/Cleric2 (soon to be C3) Human in an Eberronn campaign. Strength and Healing domains. After getting the C3, I will be concentrating on Fighter for a few levels until I get the Feats that I want (some Tactical, some more mundane). After that, I am seriously considering one of two radical changes in direction; either Paladin or Barbarian (although if I go with Barbarian, I will call it "Holy Berserker"). I am currently leaning toward taking Paladin and all that it entails. But the "Holy Berserker" idea has its' own charms. Anyway, my back-up PC (in case this one dies) is a 1/2 Orc Bard/Fighter. |
| HomebrewedMonster02-22-05, 03:33 AM | CG lesser air gensai, rogue4/fighter 2/occult slayer 2. Playing in FR, in Argland. My character was once a human thayan slave, but after his master (red wizard) experimented on him he changed. One night be woke up unshackled and ran. Now he has sworn revenge to the red wizards and plan on making their lives a living hell. He also happen to find an uber evil artifact that drove him made and the chosen had to destroy it. Now he's back, but tainted by the evil that was contained within the artifact. Wee. |
| D. Omega02-25-05, 10:59 PM | Well, in the campaign I'm currently playing in, I'm a "Co-DM". The other DM and I switch spots from time to time, and whoever isn't running the show plays our character... So far, our party consists of: - A CE half-red dragon halfling Cleric of Erythnul 20 / Ravager 5 (ECL 28) - A NE dwarven Rogue 20 / Assassin 8 - A CN gnome Bard 18 / Sorceror 10 And then there's my character: M. Keth Mercurius, a LE Tiefling (great grandsire was an Erinyes) Aasimar Hobgoblin, Fighter 20 / Blackguard 5 (ECL 28), with the Epic Leadership feat. He carries a +29 greatsword bigger than he is and uses it very well, as well as a magical suit of full plate modeled after Nightmare's from Soul Calibur II . He was the son of a chieftain who was overthrown and murdered, and in retribution, Mercurius slew every last one of the conspirators in horrifyingly brutal methods. He left with his father's armor and entered a military academy for several years, before graduating and looking for employment in a position he could use to ascend to tyrant status. In the course of his search, he used all of his free time exploring his life-long interest in theology. Almost immediately, he seized on the philosophies and moral values of Hextor, god of tyranny and oppression. He studied at every available and soon swore an oath to serve his deity with all resources at his disposal. Soon, he was drafted into the ranks of a wealthy noble's bodyguards, but was implicated in the nobleman's disappearance and imprisoned. He escaped with a handful of fellow prisoners and moved on, where he was not a criminal. As he adventured, his prowess and reputation spread, until he had amassed a significant following. He won the deed to a recently-deceased wizard's tower at auction and has since used it as a base of operations and as a barracks for his troops. He continues to adventure, seeking glory, power, and wealth to advance his tyrannical goals, all in the fanatical service of Hextor. He has a few quirks that I enjoy RPing: - He loves beautiful art and will spend extravagant sums to acquire whatever catches his interest. - He enjoys quoting Hextorian scripture while slaughtering his enemies and even refers to his immense, highly-enchanted greatsword as "Tyranny". - He's a tiny bit sunder-happy. - He likes to pick on the halfling cleric of Erythnul. - He likes to collect the skulls of powerful enemies (his prize skull is that of a high-level Hound Archon Paladin. :D ) |
| Super Guy02-25-05, 11:08 PM | Devan Bradlebury - 1st level CN Bard. It's in a small, private campaign, just 3 of us. We don't play on the days of the main campaign. Anyways, I doubt it'll last too long, because the DM doesn't like to DM much  Bisenclair - 4th level LN Monk. Soon to become a werewolf, and into my PrC Disciple of the Hunt. He's a pretty cool guy. Currently is debating over what to do with his 9 month old Lizardfolk baby that he rescued. I guess he'll have to turn him over to a monastery to take care of until Bisenclair settles the score with the BBEG. Then, it's raising baby time. In the future... After the main campaign ends, there will be another one. I'm going to try to convince my DM to allow me to be a CE Yuan-Ti Pureblood Rogue (or maybe Bard?) I'll have a damn good reason to be with the party and not harm them, and of course be disguised at all times. I'll even write a five page character history if he wants. I've just wanted to be a Yuan-Ti Pureblood for SO long. |
| AramilWindwalker02-25-05, 11:35 PM | I'm in the Worlds Largest dungeon with this guy... <unnamed> Goblin rogue3/fighter2(almost at 6) stats str16 dex22(gloves of dex+2) con16 int16 wis10 cha6 uses Flaming mighty composite longbow(+3 str mod) +14 to hit or +12/+12 with rapid shot, add sneak attack and the fun begins... Has +17 to hide and move silently, but is only a backup lockpicker He hasn't developed quirks yet, except for uncontrollable giggles when things explode, and he tries to climb on top of the cleric and dance, and always is untrusting of halflings, but likes the gnomes just fine. I like goblins as characters, and loathe halflings |
| Black Kitten02-26-05, 06:43 AM | well, we knew it would most likely happen one day, but not in the fashion it happened. Yes, our Dwarven Barbarian/Fighter/Frenzied Berserker killed the party (though it was an artifact of the DM that made us unable to stop the Frenzy that killed us really. The normal Frenzy wasn't too much of a problem.). Hence Dislan Heartwarden, Cleric lvl 8 of Sune, 2 months pregnant and 1 day from retirement (I had the new character at the ready), is no more. Refusing to heed the call of any resurrection spell, she will wander the planes for ever. Seeing our Ranger/Fighter/Order of the Bow suffered the same faith and Glime's destiny (the FB) is unknown, we have a new party starting. My new character: Leon, the LE Halfling Rogue/Assasin 5/4. Stats: Str 13, Dex 18, Con 12, Int 20, Wis 12, Cha 12. Born in Lurien, his caravan of halflings was ambushed and enslaved when he was only a kid by Thayan slavers. He was placed to work in a large slave-encampment in Thay (not sure yet, but I think it'll be Thay). Being a smart boy, though not as strong as many others, he found out that if you have power over others, you can lessen your workload. For that he became friends with an Orc slave that lived in the camp. As he grew up, he started to bully (with help of his friend the Orc) other slaves into becoming his subjects and soon became a gang-leader in the camp itself. During a bloody gang-war, Leon was able to establish himself as the leading slave of the encampment, frightning the slavers themselves. The slavers had seen the worth of their smart slave and decided that Leon was sold out of the camp to restore order. On his way to Amn, however, Leon assasinated his 'master' and went to Amn anyway. There he joined a local Assasin's guild by killing a small girl in front of them. Since then he's been an accomplished member of the assasins, though they respect his wish to operate on his own a lot. He has since joined a band of adventurers consisting of an Half-Drow Monk/Drunken Master (LE), Githyanki Sorcerer (LE) and a Human Cleric of Bane. His most prized posession is his +1 Humanbane Dagger. He's an expert burglar and con-artist. |
| Orrick02-26-05, 08:39 AM | My character is Findecano Signollo... Nickname is Fin. Hes 10th level bard and im considering sublime chord if i get complete andventurer. He doesnt like to fight so i usually use fascinate then suggestion to make people run into walls or jump off a high place. Hes human and i recently got our partys fighter to give me his sword when mine broke.... |
| Juan Moore02-26-05, 10:32 AM | I'm currently playing my 20th level Psychic Warrior. Next he's going to War Mind and then Psychic Weapons Master... should take him up to level 40. He's my favorite and I refuse to retire him! |
| obrysii02-26-05, 12:00 PM | In an evil homebrew campaign, I'm playing ... Ravi Olie, Bullywug Hexblade 4/Talon of Tiamat 3. He is obsessed with dragons, and has amazingly high hp and CON. At level 7, he has 120hp. His familiar, Noodles, has more hp than anyone else in the party. He's a heavy melee'ner, and not much else. In an OA homebrew, I will be playing . . . Currently Unnamed, Greensnake Shinomen Naga Warmage 8. I just built this character and haven't fleshed out his/her (haven't figured out gender yet!) personality quite yet. |
| Black Knight Geno02-26-05, 12:32 PM | Am currently playing a... Lvl 6 CG human male Sorcerer named Aaron, has just freed a lvl 1 CN female Minotaur bard, and is currently running around tying to find out why the F*#king gorgons are rampaging in a homemade solo campaign. Also playing... Lvl 11 CG male half copper dragon elf Ranger named Geniserus Ithierius Devague and his twin sister, a lvl 11 Cleric of Tamara, who are currently trying to explore a 'lost' temple to the Yaun-Ti gods. |
| Damien_Hiro02-26-05, 12:58 PM | Armaun "Rizzen" Nezzir LG 3/2 Fighter/sorcerer of Lathander with a STR-16 DEX-14 CON-14 INT-12 WIS-7 CHA-16 and 34 HP. Nizzen uses a ranseur to disarm his opponents, asks them to yield and then repent. He gives everyone a second chance no matter how vile or evil they are. Some of my interesting magic items are a monk's belt and an evil gem that is imbedded in my arm. Right now things look bleak, but by the grace of the morninglord we shall prevail. |
| Bard0602-26-05, 01:01 PM | Carlem BlackFoot lvl 5 Human Artificer Hes a lean built human that had the eye for magic. He also prefers the use of scolls then to any other magic idem. He currently has two homunculus. One a Expeditious Messager named Arch. Another, this one a Dedicated wright, named Luis. He is currently exploring the towers of Shawn with a companion, a Half-Elf paladin named Verlenian. Currently searching for a lost artifact of The Silver Flame in one of the towers. :) -Bard |
| Firepower02-26-05, 04:20 PM | Petra Ividivich, Human female Paladin6/Fighter2/Favored Soul3, in a homebrew campaign. Technically, she's not a paladin anymore, but don't tell HER that. The party tank in a six-player game, she's also known as Petra the Twice Dead. Horses (aside from her mount) die around her a LOT, so horses aren't named... they're numbered. Lazarus, Human male Bard1/Human Paragon1 in a Greyhawk campaign set in the ruined lands of Tehn. A charmer who's on his toes and quick with his tongue and his sword, he's becoming the party rogue and cleric and wizard. The other party members are a barbarian, a ranger, a warlock, and a monk. This one's gonna get interesting... |
| monkeywrench02-27-05, 01:47 AM | The current campaign I'm in, I'm playing a Wizard 9, Initiate of the Sevenfold Veill 6. His specialty is crafting magical items, and defense (obviously) Currently, he has no name because I can't think of a good one. The campaign world is a homebrew one, it's actually a spin-off of the acquatic campaign we recently just finished, where the only remaining PC is our pirate captain who upon completing the quest to find Atlantis, decided to begin shipping in extraplanar routes. I took the opportunity to retire my old character, Nilas the Arcane (wizard 3 cleric 3 Mystic Theurge 9 at end of campaign) to bring this guy in. I've also got a mercenary gang in limbo after that campaign died, but here's that list Arandil Venomfang (Human Druid 16, armed with a staff of storms and a huge cobra animal companion) Kelen Magefire (HumanSorcerer 16, specialized in BLOWING CRAP UP! WOOOO!) Merrick Waredge (Elf Hexblade 16. He weilded a greatsword, which I said looked like Sephiroth's masmune. He had the Arcane Strike feat, and the cursed blade spell. VERY fun to play, the one time I used him.) Iorlas the Chain-Weaver (Human Fighter 6, Weapon Master 8, Exotic Weapon Master 2. A Spiked Chain weilder with the Flurry of Strikes and Trip Attack abilities of the EWM coupled with the Weapon Masters Ki abilities and some Boots of Haste...man could he make a sick number of attacks a round) These 4 guys were part of a very high-class mercenary group...the campaign was incredibly high-powered vs. even MORE high-powered creatures...death ran high. Arandil died once, Kelen twice. After I played one session with Iorlas as a Two-bladed sword weilder, I had Arandil resurrected because Iorlas stunk so bad I retired him after that session. I then created and played one session with Merrick because I wanted to try the Hexblade out. So by the time the campaign ground to a halt suddenly, I had both Arandil and Merrick still alive. I rebuilt Iorlas as a Chain user, but never got a chance to use him. Which is a shame, because both he and Merrick were the first GOOD fighter types I'd ever built. Alas, I am once more in this campaign playing the caster. But IotSV is a VERY fun PrC, so it's all right. |
| Killah Niv3s02-27-05, 03:09 PM | The character I is playing now: LE goblin Necromancer 2 soon to be 3 (UA familiar varient) hope to throw in a few levels of cleric :D Is completely insane and never talks except to his familiar, a skeleton named Skul who was his old wizard teacher. Sort of like Gollum from Lord of the Rings. Also I just got some nice bamboo armor w/ no spell failure so now I love touch attacks. Party hears: "Yes skull, they shall taste our toasty brand of wrath yes NO SKUL! YOU'RE MARRIED! ," I love messing with their heads :evillaugh :evillaugh :evillaugh :evillaugh |
| ashcat_lt02-27-05, 04:08 PM | Somewhere in the Realms Po Lidran Blackcrest Half-Elf Monk 11/Psychic Warrior 2 His birth would have brought disgrace to his mother's elven family, so she ran off to a monastary of the Sun Soul Order to hide her pregnancy. Staid with him through weening and then left him to be raised and trained by the monks. He is completely Lawful Neutral. Very disciplined, loyal, and trustworthy, but he "does not recognize the difference between good and evil". Po is an honorific signifying that he is of the first rank of the order, kind of like a white belt. He should actually be a few ranks higher, but he hasn't ever gotten back to his monastary to take the required tests, and also I haven't come up with names for the other ranks, and after two years of real world time, the party would just keep calling him Po anyway. He's been running around for quite a number of years now with a group called Malchlorious and Company, which is an adventuring group as well as a bardic stage show that is enhanced with all kinds of magical effects. Po's got a total of +30 in tumble, but tries not to show up the bard too badly. In combat he's the distraction. He doesn't average anywhere near as much damage a Rurik dwarf with the greataxe and the str20, but on total defense (and a little mage armor courtesy of the bard) his AC is 33, so he just tumbles around the battlefield, happily taking the penalties for moving his full 60, gets close to somebody (preferably a spellcaster) and keeps them away from everybody else till the dwarf hacks his way through things. Po loves it when people try to dominate him. It's been attempted several times, but has never once worked. One time he was up twenty feet above a group of bad guys, the cleric said "jump" Po made his save, but decided to jump down there anyway. Between tumble and jump he takes no damage from the fall, lands right in front of the cleric, stuns him, and bobs and weaves till the rest of the party can get down and knock out the rest of the group. Another time it was his friend Elsaphine who had been charmed and was tearing the party apart. She tried to command him to sleep. He just smiled, said "You know better than that," and punched her in the head, stunning her. Then he beat her senseless with subdual damage. They spent five years in indentured servitude on some alternate plane as payment for removal of some nasty curses. Actually, Po's "curses" weren't all that bad: he was a megalomaniac, water couldn't touch him (so he could walk on water), every door he went through slammed shut and arcane locked behind him (that was cool when the city gaurd came along and wanted him to come into town to talk, we warned them about the city gate, but they didn't listen), small animals hated him. I had been wanting to take Po into the Psionics direction, like "perfect the mind, perfect the body" kind of thing, but I was disappointed when the XPH came along and took my dex-based psychoportation and made it int based. I also didn't want to give up on the monk class too soon. I can't count the number of times Po has been blinded and/or deafened and taken completely out of the combat, but I do know that there was a string of three entire sessions where this happened. The other players kept yelling at me "You haven't taken Blindfighting yet?!?" Then I happened to pick up the XPH and ran across the power synesthete. Considering that Po was actually blind and deaf at the time, and had been for almost a week of game time, and we had just gotten enough experience to go up a level, I decided that he must have spent that time learning to feel light and sound on his face and took the first level of PsiWar. Of course, Po has never been blinded or deafened since, but the bonus to Spot/Listen has made the difference a couple of times. Po is currently happy to be alive again and back at the party's inn on the Prime Material Plane after 2 1/2 years dead in some pocket dimension built as a sick game for some twisted wizard. The DM has been talking a lot about drow lately, so I've decided to grab that 11th level of monk in order to avoid their infamous poisons altogether. Sun Soul order allows a monk to dual-class (not multi-class, just two) freely. When we finally give up on this campaign we're supposed to be starting a "pirate" campaign. My character will be an NE human rogue/sorcerer. Starting with rogue and int 16 gives her an incredible number of skill points to mess around with. She's not going to be a sneak-thief type though, I'm putting most of the points into charisma based skills. She was born in the dockside area to a prostitute, raised in a bar, became a prostitute herself because it's all she's ever known. If she ends up on a ship her job will be "morale officer" keeping the crew happy, if you know what I mean. Meanwhile she'll be manipulating the captain and/or first mate to get everything she wants. She's going to focus on enchantments, and basically be useless in a dungeon-crawl or all out meelee, but I'm going to try to drag this campaign into more of a politics/intrigue direction focusing on role-playing more than bashing things. |
| JayF02-28-05, 07:24 AM | I'm currently Dming but last character I played a few weeks ago was: Naïrod a 11th rogue / 5th occult slayer Half-elf. I began playing it about 10 years ago in 2ed and he was recently converted to 3.5ed. He is true neutral but I am wondering wether he shouldn't become good . |
| Helmed Horror02-28-05, 07:45 AM | My current character is Zeyhbus Marbert (stats in my sig) He is very witty, enjoys pieces of art, and loves using divinations for everything. |
| Lord Santheocles02-28-05, 08:23 AM | First Character EVER (not including PC games): Santheocles Pal 4, lead a life of piety, right before had got busy with a serving wench... Heironeous screamed at him, and viola! Crazy Paladin. Stats are not important, I love role-playing this guy, one time, while another PC and the DM were having an IC talk, excused myself, and went through to the other room. Next I heard "But don't you have a Paladin, someone who is capable of talking to a crowd" Theres my cue. Ran through the living room into the hall, IC and role-playing, chasing a "bunny", shouting "BUNNYBUNNYBUNNYBUNNY..." He has now been banned from small furry animals, as his enormous strength usually crushes them against his plated chest. He has "lucid" days every now and then, but then he jumped over a spicky pit (in full plate), landed, and started screaming insults at the 14 or so troglodytes... He was all alone out there. Heh, "lucid". Second ever: Tahn, Fighter 1, died due to a critical-ed falchion wound to the face, dropped his smokestick, and died, rather uneventfull really. Tahn's replacement, is Tai'Gethen (blatant steal) Wizard 1, can't really throw his weight, and deprives the party of a needed meatshield, but provided some long range artillery. (well, not at 1st lvl, illgive you that) and thats it for now |
| spasemunki03-01-05, 07:15 PM | Neutral Human Sorceror 1 - Ravenloft campaign setting. Since she's from a culture where magic is outlawed, she has so far kept her abilities hidden from everyone. To the best of my knowledge, the rest of the player characters (though likely not the players) still thinks she's the cook for their caravan. She has managed to surreptitiously blast a ghoul with magic missles while the rest of the party was engaged in combat. Neutral Goblin Rogue 2/ Ranger 2 - Eberron game, set among a group of non-demihumans (mostly goblins and kobolds) working for the Heirs of Dhakaan. The characters tribe was enslaved by non-Dhakaani hobgoblins, and he was adopted by a Dhakaani tribe after being maimed by a owlbear. Chaotic Neutral Goblin Rogue 1 - Homebrew game. Outspoken and erratic. Currently filling a Heward's Handy Haversack with everything that he can get his hands on. Overly curious, mildly kleptomaniacal- tends to vanish at random to 'investigate' interesting locations or shiny things. Currently adventuring with a learning disabled half-orc and a human wizard with low self-esteem. |
| Mad Daerek03-01-05, 08:21 PM | I currently have a 5 Hexblade(Complete Warrior), Neutral. This is a great class. Yes, class. In the Complete Warrior, they give you 3 new warrior classes. It gives you HP's like a fighter with the ability to cast some arcane spells. Which means you can cast scrolls. Also, I've been playing a 6 Fighter 2 rogue, 2 justiciar(PRC from Complete Warrior), Chaotic good. This is a great PRC for a player. It allows many avenues for a DM to campaign with. I like playing fighters and have many successful characters made from this book. It has an awesome selection of new feats. Suggest checking it out. |
| Maug03-02-05, 03:12 AM | Currently in a survival-horror campaing in the world of Greyhawk Ruther Travers, human fighter 2 who uses a net & trident. Orphaned at childhood, taken into a warrior academy and graduating top of the class, has now taken to collecting his own fortune. Maintains a list of the enemies he has killed. |
