Okay, I just have this question. When you get Lycanthropy, your first cahnge is involuntary until you realize you are a lycanthrope. Then you can try to control it. But every time you change, the save DC to keep your alignment increases by 1. Now, what happens if you decide to just stay in the Hybrid form and not change to the animal or human forms? Is that possible or not so the save DC would never raise. And to still go into town, just get a Hat of Disguise.

I would think that volentarily staying in hybrid form would also shift you to the lycanthropes alignment, after all you are volentarily renouncing your former form. Up to the DM of course, cuz I doubt there are rules for that.

In Masters of the wild there was a druid spell that prevented (or banned, depending on the use of it) werefolk from changing form.

Countermoon or something like that... if you are willing to sacrifice the gains of an additional form in order to keep your alignment, find the friendly druid next door and ask for help... maybe get an wonderous item that has this spell/ability...

If you want the werewolf abilities, take the consequences...

Yes, its a good spell. But if you voluntarily shift to your lycanthrope form, you have your original alignment. So there shouldn't be a save to keep it.

I don't agree with mechanical shifts of alignment at all. I think they're silly, to be honest, and you should tell your DM this.

In most cases I don't see the point in shifting someone's alignment...but in the case of lycanthropy...I believe it's an obvious choice, you have after all, become something between a wild beast and a person. Your alignment should reflect this.

I wouldn't say "permenently and immediately" shift alignments...but I would make it a gradual thing that takes place over a few months or so.

A completely insane suggestion but I suggest: Roleplay it.

You've got the insane agressive blood of the werewolf coursing in your veins. Do your best to roleplay the struggle between your humanity and the lure of the beast. Then slowly slide down to the abyss of murderous rage or climb out to the bright light of salvation.

I agree with the whole alignment change being stupid. But my DM gave the hint that we may be facing lycanthropes. And since I have a poor fort save, I was trying to think of ways around it. I'll ask him about the alignment change thing. Maybe he won't have it happen but I'm still cursed, or he''l allow me to choose to just stay in hybrid form.
