09-24-06, 03:24 PM There is no "lowest" and "highest" form in 3.5. You need that specific thing to overcome DR; for example, if you're fighting something with DR Silver, nothing but silver will bypass it. If you're fighting something with DR Magic, any +1 or better weapon will bypass it. And so on.

09-24-06, 05:49 PM Yep, Steven's correct (assuming you're playing 3.5). If a creature has DR X/Slashing then only a slashing weapon bypasses it; even a +40-gazillion epic mace won't bypass it - though at +40-gazillion I suspect it wouldn't matter. ;)

09-25-06, 09:21 AM To answer the rest of the question though the DMG also provides information on level adjustments per amount of DR, so just keep in mind that a creature with say DR 200 would have a hefty LA.

There are some monsters with the ability to overcome dr/epic, but not dr/magic, such as the tarrasque.:P

Epic counts as Magic. I think it says so in the epic level handbook update booklet.
