JadeFox 10-14-04, 10:09 PM	Recently our party (with is predominatnly TN or CN), heard rumors of an anchient draconic artifact in a local monistary. We decided that the monks wern't using it, and that we would *ahem* "Borrow" it. The mission went off without a hitch, and we got the item with no actual violence. It turned out to be a stone jar with an inscription on the top, all attempts to open the jar by both mundane and magical means have failed. The inscription on the top reads. "TRAVEL TO THE PLACE WHERE THERE IS ONLY SKY, WHERE THERE ARE BI WALLS TO THE UNTRAINED EYE." I smell a riddle puzzle, any ideas on what this could mean?
Vintar 10-14-04, 10:42 PM	One thing you could try - though I have never done it - is say one of the characters figures it out. Even though you as a player don't. Then the DM has to tell you what it means. I mean - we're always being told not to have our character know things he shouldn't - we just happen to. But what if our character is smarter than us - shouldn't he be able to figure things out that we as players are stumped with. If you go with that Int. of 10 = IQ 100 and each point up or down is 5 IQ points (have heard as high as 10 per point) then a wizard with an Int. of 26 with magic items has an IQ of 180 - most likely much smarter than anyone at the table.
CzarGarrett 10-15-04, 09:13 AM	bi walls? does that mean 2 walls or is that a typo? Only sky: I'd be tempted to say the Plane of Air or a very, very high mountain. walls seen by untrained eye: figure that its some sort of ruins. and maybe some sort of etheral connection to fill in the rest of the walls. Just a few ideas off the top of my head.
