Thubby 01-20-07, 03:33 PM	kinda need specifics, what have you been trying to buy, and the fighter? what class are you? if your a mage, it may be that mage-y items are rarer. seeing as how wizards and sorcerers are alot less comon than a warrior/fighter/barbarian. are you trying to get something exotic, like an uber spiked chain? there is a reason the stuff is exotic, its hard to come by.

Mogofeiden 01-20-07, 03:46 PM	The AC bonus from the two rings DO NOT stack. It seems there's a fairly low grasp of the rules and of balance in your game. Otherwise, it looks to be a anything goes kinda thing but your DM is picking on you. I recommend everyone to start a new game at lv1 while your group learns the rules.

You aren't really telling us whats happening, you just seem to be trying to smear another player fro some reason. Keep in mind D&D is a game you play in a group, it doesn't matter if you could kill the other fighter, because the party is better off with him in it. You haven't even said what your trying to buy, for all we know its a very expensive item that not might be available in the town you are in (For instance, you may be in a town the size of a small city, whose max GP limit is 50k, and you want a +5 flaming longsword or something, that simply isn't available.) Restate your problem in a clear, well thought out manner. And try to remember that this is a group game.

You shouldn't play WoW either. Most of the people in that game want fellow players who are polite and understand teamwork. You are, near as I can tell, neither of those things. I will, however, make an attempt to help. Your entire playing group needs to read the appropriate texts. Your DM should read DMG and PHB. Cover-to-cover. If he has a problem with that, he isn't DM material. You and all your fellow players need to read the PHB. Cover-to-cover. If you did, you missed a few parts. Keep in mind I don't mean just the sections with PrC's and crunchy rules. I mean ESPECIALLY the sections on cooperation, appropriate DM'ing, and being a polite player. After that, and after you have cleaned your mouth out with soap (or your mommy does), come talk to us. You won't receive the kind of help you want on these boards until you can spell, punctuate, and express yourself without liberal use of the "*." Ohh...and referring to your friends (you DO roleplay with friends, right?) as whiny doesn't help.

Sad to say it, but I think you should not play the game until you are able to write coherently, able to talk/type without dropping the f-bomb every third word, and are mature enough to know that stuff happens.

Falln 01-21-07, 12:43 PM	Talk to your DM and ask him why you can't do ... whatever you want. Maybe you have bought too much equipment so far and you don't have any money left. Or the DM is trying to balance the party a bit. If you keep all the found stuff for your self and most of the money. Then the other PC's will fall behind. Maybe you are playing in a campaign world where some stuff happens to be rare to find. Like Iron in a roman world. Maybe your DM did add some restrictions to the templates you use for your character? Maybe you've insulted the local blacksmith, so that blacksmith doesn't want to sell anything to you. Maybe blacksmiths don't like half-fiends in his shop? lots of possible reasons, most important thing: talk to the DM in a mature way.
