| GSonic704-07-07, 12:31 PM | (Races of the Dragon page 105) Does it stack? My DM is unsure, and wanted to ask on here before he lets me take it twice. I think it would work like Toughness, which specifically states you can take it twice. MY DM says that crappy feats are the only ones that you can take twice, and that this one isn't too bad, so he doesn't want me to take it twice. But I do think it could get crazy. With the build I am using it in, if I took it for every bonus feat I possibly could, I'd end up with 216-240 extra HP. |
| nightwyrm04-07-07, 12:44 PM | I'm pretty sure you can't take it twice even though it's a crappy feat. And it is a crappy feat. Comparing it with improved toughness which gives you +1 hp/lv, draconic toughness only gives you +2hp/3 lv if you take all draconic feats. Unless you're desperate for a draconic feat to boost something else, choose another feat. |

Actually, the (non-OGL) PrC I am taking (Dragonheart Mage, Races of the Dragon page 89) gives 4 Draconic feats overall as a bonus, so for my bonus feats from HD, if I take 5 Draconic ones and 2 non-Draconic ones, I come out the same as improved toughess (Dragonblood Sorcerer substitution level gives Draconic Heritage for free). Also, I'm assuming Improved Toughness requires Toughness as a prerequisite, so that would take two feats to gain the 1hp/level. |
| nightwyrm04-07-07, 01:09 PM | If you're taking dragonheart mage then the calculations may be different. But improved toughness doesn't require toughness, it is quite literally an improved version of toughness. |
| Despana04-07-07, 02:05 PM | The rule is that if a feat does not say that you can take it multiple times, you cannot. Draconic Toughness does not say you can. And Nightwyrm, you should really let others make their own characters. |
| wonlee7604-07-07, 02:07 PM | Generally; if a feat can be taken more than once, it will say so. Usually under a heading of "Special" or something. So if Draconic Toughness says somewhere that it can be taken multiple times or there's a special heading that says you can take it multiple times, you're good to go. If not, you're SoL. |
