Dragon Hunter/Slayer Build, need help [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-06-06, 12:22 AM I am going to be playing in a new game soon. It is set in Faerun, but with a twist. All of Toril has been overrun with dragons. Almost every dragon is now evil (even metallic and the like), and have decimated the population of Toril. The survivors all live the the underground in caverns (underdark) or hidden sparcely throughout the surface.

Our party will be large (about 7 players), and will start at level 15. We are using a highly empowered system, with these changes: 38 point buyout stat pool (8 min to 18 max), a feat at every odd level, a stat point at every even level.

I need help with a a build for this game, from race, to class, to feats; pretty much everything.

Right now I have a decent build concept, but I am open to any ideas at all.

So far I am thinking Wizard and 10 levels of Dragonslayer (Draconomicon). I may throw in some Fatespinner or Eldritch Knight. I really want to have more BAB without losing spellcasting levels, so if anyone knows of any fighter or cleric BAB prestige classes with full spell progression, that would help tremendously.

I am looking for a good amount of spellcasting plus decent combat ability.

I know I will be taking most of the anti-dragon feats from Draconomicon.

Any ideas about classes, feats, or races are welcome. I have a starting build, but any other class/build ideas are great too. Thank You.

11-07-06, 02:13 PM I seem to remember a spell, what was it again... ah yes, Shivering Touch. Read it, it's in Frostburn. Maximized it takes out a dragon without a problem.

11-07-06, 03:27 PM Just be aware that Shivering Touch is as close to exploiting as you can in D&D as this spell is obvously a huge error.
