| Matthew7707-17-07, 10:55 PM | Looks like you've made some decent choices in character building... not 100% combat optimized, but you have some good options. Greatspear has reach, correct? In combat, I would try to stay near the casters, using my reach to get AoO on anything that tried to get past me to attack them. In battle, I would use the energy shield aura, then turn on Vigor once combat is over to get everyone back up to half HP. You have no ranged attacks, so I would pick up a bow or a sling, just to have something in reserve that can deal damage at range. At low levels, Dragon Shaman is good enough in melee to be a front-line fighter, but as you gain levels, you will need to focus on your special abilities to help the party, because your fighting skills will lag behind. That's some pretty basic advice. For more specific suggestions, you'd have to let us know what other classes are in the party, and what their tactics are. |
| vunit8307-17-07, 11:13 PM | Thanks that's helpful I'll change it up so you know what classes are in the party but in the party we have a level 3 elan psionic (shaper),a level 3 elf scout,a level 2 half giant psychic warrior,a level 3 duskling totemist,a level 3 human crusader. |
| Azezel07-18-07, 08:57 AM | With a Psion, a Totemist and a Crusader, you will never have to be afraid of anything close to your CR. You need not worry about combat - concentrate on other matters - most importantly, desert survival. There is a sourcebook for the Desrt, called Sandstorm, which you may like to look into. |
