| DemonsOfRazgriz12-17-04, 12:58 PM | I need help creating a dragonkin character for my one friends campaign soon. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but my one friend who borrowed my book forgot to give it back to me before he left and won't be back till Jan. 4 2005, and half of the other players who have this book are on vacation to, so I'm in a bind. My drakonkin is going to be a human/dragon, I still don't know what to chose for my dragon side but, I'm thinking of the Mercury Dragon from monster mayhem. List the step by step creation for it and if you don't know what the mercury dragon is go to the official D&D website and type in the search engine Monster Mayhem and look for Mercury Dragon. |
| Garith Dragonborn12-17-04, 01:13 PM | ok, you are thinking of half dragons. dragonkins are an entirly new race of dragonpeople. they don't have breath weapons, but they do have wings. they are in the Draconomicon. I can get you the stats if you wish. |
| DemonsOfRazgriz12-17-04, 01:44 PM | I meant how to create a half dragon/half human or any other. My one frind who is on vacation makes a lot of them and he always called them dragonkin(before Draconomicon came out) so it's a force of habait for me when, I reference them. The dragon character, I want is a Human/Mercury Dragon. I just don't remember how you mix the stats. |
| lordvoldemorten12-17-04, 01:47 PM | It's not about mixing stats, you add a template. It's in MM1. I don't think I'm allowed to post it... Edit: Am I allowed to? And do you want me to? Lord Voldemorten |
| DemonsOfRazgriz12-17-04, 03:33 PM | If we are not allowed to on the board then, that's why, I think you can send private messages. I guess we could always ask one of the moderators if it's okay. I really need to get this done before monday morning, because that's when my friends campaign begins. |

| MakesMeSick12-17-04, 04:16 PM | Basically, the SRD is the portion of d20 which is open-gaming content. That means that's the base which third party companies can use and not break any copyright laws. It is found here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=d20/article/srd35 Although there are other popular versions out there (I think I saw one in html searchable format). You can find most of the rules in there and some of the monsters/templates. Read all about it. It is your friend when you don't have the books at hand ;) |
