drows.... do they have specific gods? [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-18-05, 12:30 PM drows.... do they have specific gods? if any plz list and plz be quick we got a new character making her sheet for our first game in 30 mins

Eilistraee is the one that dances naked but i heard ther is a guy drow god and a girl drow god...

The naked one would be Elisstree (I spelled wrong, so don't quote it).

Also, I'm pretty sure the plural of Drow is Drow. It don't really matter though.

09-18-05, 02:16 PM There are more gods than that, but the third ed. rules slightly whacked them all. Take a look at the forgotten realms book, or maybe some second edition stuff (faiths and avatars). But basically, just go for the two biggies mentioned earlier.

Erm, a quick Google tells me he's the drow warrior god, son of Vhaerun and grandson of Lolth. He's pretty much under Lolth's thumb, from what I can gather.

Selvetarm is the Champion of Lolth, the god of the male drow fighter who accept to be dominated by Lolth and Her priestesses. He is the son of Vhaeraun and Dandidar (perhaps not the good spelling), an elven goddess of the dance who accepted to give herself to the drow god to spare her people. She was saved by Bhast, the Mulhorandi goddess. After giving birth to Selvetarm, Dandidar was so weak that she merged her essence with Bhast to form the new goddess Sharess. Selvetarm was a good deity at this point, and he spent a few time with Eilistraee. Then Lolth tricked him to kill a Spider Demon to please Eilistraee. Selvetarm killed the Spider Demon, but was corrupted by the raw evil of this demon, and he became Lolth's Champion.
