Hey next week im starting a new character in a campaign. Ive decided that i want to play a druid who has already forgone 2 age penelties (human 61y.o.). Ive come up with a back story that bings him to the contident that is equivlant to africa and back. Ive picked my skills and feats. But what i need is a concept or just a general idea to pick spells. If it helps im in a verry war driven campaign.

oh! and its a 10th level character with a 20 wisdom.

your help will be much appreciated.

So what are you asking for here? What spells you should take? If you have the spell compendium, flip through that a little, see what spells look powerful, most of the ones in there are sweet for druids. I'll list a few good ones, everything here is either core or Spell Compendium:

1st
Camouflage
Cloudburst (Counts as a storm for Call Lightning)
Enrage Animal (On yourself, in WS)
Sandblast
Snake's Swiftness (Not that good, but I've seen it swing the tide of battle more than once.)
Longstrider
Shillelagh
Entangle

2nd
Blinding Spittle
Creeping Cold (Metamagic:Extend makes this get real ugly)
Embrace the Wild
Listening Lorecall
Master Air
Nature's Favor (REALLY good)
Snake's Swiftness, Mass
Splinterbolt (Divine Scorching Ray, what more can you ask for?)
Barkskin
Bear's Endurance, Bull's Strength, etc..
Spider Climb
3rd
(Okay, i'm too lazy to dig through my SpC anymore, let's go for core only.)
Call lightning
Spike Growth
Magic Fang, Greater

4th
Air Walk
Flame Strike
Giant Vermin
Scrying
Reincarnate

5th
Animal Growth (REALLY good. Again. This+Nature's Favor+Greater Magic Fang=other guy dies.)
Awaken (For when you want an animated tree to stand in front of you while you cast)
Call Lightning Storm
Death Ward
Wall of Fire/Thorns

If you have the SpC, then druids are both deadly combatants and great spellcasters. If you don't, they still are. Spend all your time Wildshaped, pick up Natural Spell as soon as you can, and you'll be running around as a Huge bear with 35 strength that's blasting 5d10 bolts down every round. As soon as you get 6th level spells, start prepping Fire Seeds (holly berry bombs). INCREDIBLE amounts of damage. Other than that, 2 levels of Totemist from Magic of Incarnum might be a good idea if you want to get a bunch more natural attacks, or Master of Many Forms from Complete Adventurer if you want to go the WS route (Though I feel that's not as powerful as a normal druid). Hope I answered your question.
