There are a couple of common builds: 1) Summoner - Take Augmented Summoning Feat. 2) Melee Shapechanger - Take Natural Spell Feat to cast spells while shapechanged. With respect to spells. Druids can spontaneous cast summoning spells so just memorize other spells besides those. The rest of your spells would depend on your party. Are you the primary healer? If so then memorize more cures and Protection spells like resist elements and Barkskin. Are you the 2ndary healer/offensive spellcaster? Then memorize more offensive combat oriented spells like ice storm, flamestrike, and spike growth. If you are neither the primary healer nor the primary offensive spellcaster, then I suggest getting a mix and add some flavor utility spells like some detection spells, buffing spells like bulls strength, and movement/escape spells like longstrider, obscuring mist, and dispel magic. Skills: Depends on how you want to model your Druid and if you have a Ranger or another druid in the party. But these are always good to max: Knowledge Nature - identifying nature based creatures Heal - healing out of combat while resting Concentration - must if you cast in combat Survival - long term travel or if you take the Track feat. |

Extraordinary Spell Aim (CV): Lets you exclude one target from the effect of an area effect spell you cast. Useful in certain situations, but particularly with stuff like Antimagic Field. Spontaneous Healer (CD): You spontaneously cast healing spells, making the party love you - you're now nearly as good at healing as a cleric. Greenbond Summoning (LEoF): Gives all animals you summon a very nice template - DR, stat boosts, changes them to Plant type, and some other things. Rashemi Elemental Summoning (UE): Gives all elementals you summon a template, giving a decent boost in power. Augment Summoning (PHB): Useful feat for a summoning focused druid - however, to make the most of it you should try and find some Conjuration spells that actually have spells, since Spell Focus (conjuration) is a prerequisite for this. Blindsight (MotW): This is the 3.0 version, I'll note - however, if you can use it, permanent blindsight is rather nice. Mobile Spellcaster (CV): You can make a concentration check to both move and cast as a spell as a standard action. This is especially nice when combined with some of the druid's fast Wildshape forms. CV: Complete Adventurer CD: Complete Divine LEoF: Lost Empires of Faerun UE: Unapproachable East MotW: Masters of the Wild |
