Besides being a god or playing an immortal race (such as elan), what
possibilities does the druid have to become immortal ??

Does reincarnation work ??

also...what would druids think about being immortal....

I simply don't like the picture of a druid-lich.....(which COULD be one possibility

Death is a part of life. You wouldn't want immortality... it breaks the cycle.

Druid Immortality:

Step 1: Be High Level

Step 2: Take Leadership feat, get Druid Cohort min. lv. 7.

Step 3: Commit Suicide before dying of old age.

Step 4: Have Druid Cohort cast Reincarnate on your remains.

Druid-Lich? Isn't that kind of like an Aethiest Priest? Druids have few things they hate more than undead - why would one ever allow themselves to slip into thier ranks?!

Put the character sheet in Mylar sheeting. This way things like dust, water and rips are less likely to happen. Now, until you throw the character sheet away, that is an immortal Druid. Until you die anyways...but thats a while away.

reincarnate.

a group of high level druids who commit suicide ever couple dozen years and then reincanate affecting the worlds course to get back one level....sounds really cool

A high level druid might seek to become one with his sacred grove somehow (I can't even begin to speculate what mechanics you'd use for that). Perhaps he allows his soul to merge with that of his grove, and he becomes the grove's dryad.

Or perhaps the grove already has a dryad, and he turns his soul over to the dryad. When the grove is threatened, or some other Bad Thing threatens to happen, the dryad dusts off his soul, gives him a body, and he goes off to Fight The Good Fight. Once complete, he returns to rest. Not immortality in th bodily sense, but it could work.

Please excuse my curiosity, but why do you want your druid character to be immortal?

Well, it could be the usual human-in-a-group-of-elves situation. It's usually pretty annoying to have your companions still young, while you've already made your Venerable-age death roll...
