Maybe the Geomancer can give you enough of what you want?

As anyone on the optimization boards will tell you, straight druid is plenty powerful. Most PrC's will make you lose (to varying degrees) some spellcasting or wildshaping. If you want both, I suggest straight druid. I'm playing one right now, and there is plenty of power and versatility there.

You could try the Verdant Lord. The new wild shape abilities appear to be more plant based (trees, treants, etc) than animal based, but it still progresses spells as the normal druid does.
