| Kroska01-02-06, 06:52 PM | I'm trying to see if i can have a character that has all the cool two weapon fighting feats and is able to do it with crossbows. Now the character had all the neccesary feats and such but there was the one problem of reloading the crossbows. So then i figured, wait a tick...i don't have enough hands! So i made a thri-kreen fighter with the feats- far shot, point blank shot, weapon focus(cross bow, light), rapid shot, improved rapid shot, 2 weapon fighting, improved 2 weapon fighting, greater 2 weapon fighting, rapid reload, many shot and the bonus feat from the race...deflect arrows. I made him a lvl 11 fighter just in case my current character(a awakined ninja hamster) dies. |

So, I'd exchange the feat for Exotic Weapon Prof(repeating crossbow) and change the Weapon Focus to Repeating Crossbow, too. Though, I'd check to see if the DM would allow you to use three hand crossbows and reload all three with just one arm. |

The bolt follows a set path from a groove that is 1 bolt thick. The only possible way is if you put one in front of the other, in which case, even if they DIDNT mess each other up while being slid along OR midflight (which they most certainly would) they would end up hitting exactly the same spot, so the bolt would only do a little more damage, if any, certainly not enough to upgrade it from 1d8 to 2d8. The same reason why you cant have 2 bullets in the same gun chamber. Edit: Ninja hamster? |
