| Cowczar01-19-08, 02:09 PM | :help: In the PHB II, it says in the Duskblade entry that a Duskblade begins play knowing three 0-level spells and two 1-level spells. In the Spells section, there are no 1-level spell entries. I don't get it. :allalone: |
| Crimson_Concerto01-19-08, 02:25 PM | Look at the end of the Duskblade class description for their class spell list. The Spells section only lists their NEW spells described in the book. For future reference, this question has been asked many times, and the search function could probably have gotten you an answer much faster. The search function is good. :) |
| Enmarnacu01-19-08, 02:28 PM | Spells found in the PHBII are marked with an asterisk, and all the unmarked spells are regular ole PHB spells. The swift spells (like swift invis) are in the Spell Compendium. The problem I've been pondering is the lack of 0-level Duskblade spells. Four is not enough. |
| DrMorganes01-19-08, 03:04 PM | I think those four are sufficient, given the class's focus and other abilities. |
| Enmarnacu01-19-08, 03:41 PM | I know, I know. It's sixth level and I haven't used but one 0-level duskblade spell. It's just. . .I want to collect things and other classes get so many cantrips and orisons. And here we are melting pebbles with acid splash. ^ Comedic intent. |
| Salla01-19-08, 05:22 PM | I think those four are sufficient, given the class's focus and other abilities. It's only really a problem if you start with a 16 INT and are, therefore, entitled to 5. I add the other damage cantrips (Sonic Snap, Electric Jolt? I think they may be called) to the list. |

The swift spells (like swift invis) are in the Spell Compendium. The problem I've been pondering is the lack of 0-level Duskblade spells. Four is not enough. With the arcane attunement Duskblades get access to five cantrips as spell like abilities. That and their normal 0 level spells give them about as good a selection as anyone could need, no? |
| FrostWolf01-23-08, 10:38 AM | The Duskblade needs a better spell list. They only get a tiny amount of spells, and then only a sliver of those are touch, and indeed, quite a few are just useless. I also think they should get to use Ranged touch with ranged weapons. |
| McPoyo01-23-08, 10:43 AM | I also think Wish should be a spell like ability for Duskblades >.> Sounds like what you want is a Sorcerer-Gish. |
| Sinfire Titan01-23-08, 12:53 PM | I know, I know. It's sixth level and I haven't used but one 0-level duskblade spell. It's just. . .I want to collect things and other classes get so many cantrips and orisons. And here we are melting pebbles with acid splash. ^ Comedic intent. Take a feat from Races of the Dragon. Those cantrip slots can then be used to cast 1st level spells 3/day, or a single 2nd level spells. That's the nice thing about Duskblades, they get a lot of spells per level per day, so those slots are expendable. |
