hello

I am going to play a dwarven fighter. He is going to use two warhammers have a grudge tattoo on his back (more on that later). He has jet black hair and beard, his beard braided into two large threads. Around these are the golden rings presenting him as a member of the [name??] clan. He adventures with his cousin (a cleric). some great tragedy occurred in his past and the story is tattood on his back. He seeks to right this wrong by payment in blood.

I need:
-a tragedy
-a name for the clan
-a good reason why a cleric would join him on such a quest
-ideas for feats for this character

-you stating that the Idea for this character is great ;) :D ;)

okay seriously, could you help me out??

thanks

What level do you start at?

Assuming first level, then the tragedy is one he didn't specifically take part in. How about steal from the master (Tolkien) and have the clan have been disinherited by a dragon? The dragon smashed its way into the dwarven hall of your clan and looted it, killing many/most of the clan members. You are a descendent of those who escaped. The dragon comes out from time to time and lays waste to any towns that are close to the mountain.

Your clan could be the Baruk Khazad (translated to mean Axes of the Dwarves) - once a proud clan devoted to fighting and warfare, but overstepped themselves when they began amassing great wealth as a result of working as mercenaries for other races.

Your name could be Nargun Tarag, which means 'black beard' in Tolkien's dwarvish tongue.

Feats would follow fighter standard, Power Attack, Cleave, Great Cleave, Weapon Focus: Dwarven War Axe. Maybe Dodge or Tunnel Fighter. Ask the DM where most of the campaign will be. I really can't say why the cleric is with you until you know more of the campaign world. Is the cleric on a quest to retrieve an artifact the dragon has stolen? Or shares your desire to become strong enough to slay the dragon? Perhaps you will first adventure to find a dragon-slaying weapon (might take a long time!)
