| skeeter_dan11-24-06, 03:36 AM | My DM is letting me re-spec an old character for various reasons; essentially, he's becoming a water elemental of sorts due to spending an inordinate amount of time in an elemental plane of water. He was originally a homebrewed bard/barbarian hybrid, but I'll probably re-spec him as a straight-forward bard. However, I was wondering if anyone knew of any good elementalist classes, prestige or otherwise. I'd really like to have him either transforming into a full water elemental (my DM and I have discussed this as being somewhat akin to the Druid ability) or casting numerous water-based spells. Are there any suggestions for how to do this? Any classes that are already tailor-made to do this? Any books that have some good water-based spells? I'd really appreciate the help. |

The Elemental Savant from the Complete Arcane is probably your best bet for an Elementalist. They focus on one of the 4 damage elements, of which Frost would be related to Water. At 10th level they become native outsiders to which ever plain they are asociated with, in your case Water. |

Or the DM could be nice and either allow a wish or a quest that a deity wants inorder to transform the character, but be warned if you do that to the character then you will have immunities and vulnerability to elements. |
