beenyboboo601 02-04-08, 11:49 PM	i am at war with a major elf city. the elf city is like in the middle of like tx and thier is a thick forest around it. i have taken out all of the little city and all the outposts. i have a very large humnoid army but when i start to march through the forest to the main city by the time we get thier we have taken soo many losses we have to turn back..... here is what i have tried. burn the forst down-they counter it with weather spells next i have tryed to rot the forest - counter that with spells. the city is impossable it get into being evil. any help would be great. thanks

Aqua 02-05-08, 12:48 AM	Have you tried recruiting dragons? Or creatures who hate elves. You could also try to cancel out there weather spells or spells for that matter with some kind of spells to help you out and not harm your army any. Whats your character and lvl anyways?

Derren S. 02-05-08, 07:15 AM	Continue to burn down the forest (not only in one place but start several fires at the same time). Also diseases work very well against elves. If burning it down doesn't work use undead and constructs to chop it down tree by tree. You might also try to attack the cities food supply. Might I ask you why you are suffering casualties when going through the forest? Also what level are you/do you have available? But I guess your DM simply doesn't want the city to fall so no matter what you do you won't succeed.
Crixon 02-06-08, 03:43 PM	Well simply there are many ways to take down a forrest,logical one being burning it down doesnt work for you,you can chop the forrest down,when the elves come to stop you (as you know they will) lob alot of catapults shots at them ... if you have wizards have them drop large exploding things like fireballs on them,but just chop as much of the forrest as you can gives them alot less room to move,if they have a river that goes to the city clear eather side of the banks but make sure every time they attack you keep lobbing catapults into them,eventually you will kill the army or they will pull back and let you to your work ... and using undead and constructs is good too,one more thing,depending on the size of the forrest,if you can surround the city with a wall and pen the elves inside it ... starve them out,if you can enlist the help of dragons that would be good too,and as an up side you can use the wood and sell it to make more money to higher more troops :P
Aqua 02-06-08, 11:17 PM	You can also if your beyond 6th lvl which im assuming.Get alot of wizards,sorcerers and druids who are against certain kinds of natures such as forests and make them cast Jungle Razor constantly.Its in the Spell Compendium page 127.That might be good for ya.
The_Shaman 02-07-08, 06:46 AM	Why not just travel over it? With weather spells you can lay low clouds or fogs that should obscure you fairly well.
