| maxfschr105-08-04, 05:27 PM | My idea is to take around 12-14 levels in fighter and 6-8 levels in barbarian. I am committed to the idea of the classes and the race. Some of this is for roleplaying and some for personal preference purposes, but im trying to figure out how to make the best of this character. Like feat trees? equipment? splatbook feats? stuff like that. Here's his stuff, rough sketch since the first session is wednesday: Str - 18 Dex - 15 Con - 17 Cha, Int, & Wis - Being handled separately for a purpose. They are, in reality, all 8s and 10s, but they are being adjusted. Too long of a story to explain. Feats: Two Weapon Fighting, Weapon Focus (Longsword) Weapons: Longsword/Shortsword, Shortbow Armor: Hasn't been decided yet, but will be fighter-worthy. I figure that once I get his "fighting skills" up. otherwise known as exploring all the good feat trees and what not, I will get some rage abilities and stuff to augment his damage and effectiveness. This ISNT for min/max purpose, but to maximize the potential of THIS character idea. Tell me what ya think? Any ideas? |

As far as feats go, Improved Buckler Defense could do you some good in combat, if you are set on the two-weapon fighting part. Picking up Track perhaps wouldn't be such a bad idea, unless you already have a ranger in the group, as it is a handy ability to have and emphasizes the wild side of the charakter a bit. Without a clearer idea of what you want this character to accomplish though, it isn't particularly productive to go on and on suggesting different feats, PrCs, etc... Also, people will be more inclined to help if you start only one thread on the same topic, as doing otherwise isn't usually considered good form and doesn't really help communication. cheers |

I already have Track as a bonus feat that my Dm gave out as a way of giving the party something that they would desperately need. Right now, this character is starting out as the "party leader," possessing the swagger of a "General" type leader with the individualism that people admire. The tracking gives him somewhat of a wild side. I aslo think him being an elf always leaves open the possibility of "natural" influence; i'm going to try to include that in his backstory somewhere. But, anyway, I definately want to stick with the TWF. That's just how I see an Elven fighter. I know that im going to go for the feat trees right off and get as many and the best I can, then reap the benefits of the barbarian class. Basically, I want to become a master of the technical and then harness the rage and brute strength of the barbarian I can get. I was mostly just looking for anything, regardless of what it is, that you think may help me. Items? Feats (especially supplemental stuff, since I dont fancy myself all-knowing when it comes to that stuff) PrCs wouldnt hurt? 12 or 14 of fighter? Magical Items? Weapons?... Just pretty much anything. He's pretty much in my head, I just want to make the best of him as I can. While I realize its not precisely the best way to make anything, its the character idea I am trying to get the best out of. |
