| Deekin02-25-04, 08:12 PM | Have the PC Use a uber-powerful artifact that kill them all but also anihallates the Uber BBEG |
| ehrin02-25-04, 08:21 PM | why not have every character just go their separate way for a while? mages to study their magic, clerics to do good works, rogues to spend their money, etc.. that way, you can all get back together if you want later. |
| Ipsissimus02-25-04, 08:21 PM | If everyone is in agreement that they want to start fresh, considering you haven't revealed any character or storyline background... Have them all write up something they want their characters to do and just have a final farewell banquet or departure. Each player can say a piece and you can leave it at that. "Sir Ronald Mc'Donald ventures south to continue the service of his church, Plick and Puck journey east to the small hamlet of tilvertonnorerer with the gold they've saved...they have plans to start an inn. Master O'douls returns to his old teacher in the north and continues his study in the arcane arts...etc." Haven't you played any Final Fantasy games? When the Silver Marches book came out, our DM was so siked to start a FR campaign we just...stopped playing our converted Planescape one. No worries, no complaints, we didn't care. Our characters were developed but we wanted to play the Realms. So we did. What happened to our characters? Ummm, the lady looked at us funny and we don't remember anymore. Otherwise... Or you could just kill them all in their sleep....Fade to black. |

| Brillock of Ithicus02-26-04, 02:32 AM | killing them in there sleep might make some hard feelings. don't turn there characters into NPC's unless they allow you to, because they are very personal. but yeah relish the fact that everyone wants to start new , and get some idea of what they want to start with. ( a group of bandits, or a group of soliders, a troupe of bards) what not. have fun. |
| ezze8802-26-04, 09:24 PM | make a battle that will cleanse the world of evil and everyone of them is so happy they go celebrate in their hometowns |
| RLWilde02-26-04, 10:17 PM | A wizard named Waldorf destroys the world and enslaves its gods... oops, I'm showing my age here, huh? I agree that there's no reason for the campaign to "end"... just let it go on hiatus. If you end it, you miss the chance several months or years down the road to have a special one-shot return for nostalgic reasons. |
| FineasBoggs02-28-04, 02:08 PM | Having the party slain in a very heroic fashion has always been my favorite. Of course slaying them in an un-herioc fashion is fun too, but not all players agree with that. http://webpages.charter.net/acamphuysen/manshoon_mage_sigil.gif |
