I'm intrested in playing an Enlightened Fist in the future and was wondering if anyone here has experience playing them. I wanted to know your opinion on how I should split my levels between Monk/Sorc, what level you think is good for entering the PrC and what feats you found helpful along the way.

Thanks for the ideas and the help,
Dorian

I looked at doing one myself, once, a Monk/Wizard combo. I would specialise as a Transformer and use buffing spells and spells that enhance my combat ability. I would suggest that you use the majority of your levels as monk, and stick to buffing spells, even with Practiced Caster your levels are not really high enough to hammer out offensive spells unless you throw the majority of levels into your casting class and just use the monk as flavour and a decent AC.

Other PrCs that work inthe same vein are Sacred Fist (for Monk/Cleric) and Fist of Zuoken (a sort of Monk/Psychic Warrior). These have the advantage that the casting/manifesting powers are based on Wisdom, a stat all monks should have invested in anyway.

Practiced Spellcaster lets you keep up your spell's power level.

You can take the ascetic mage feat (Complete Arcane) or carmendine monk (heroes of valor) to use charisma/intelligence for some of the monk abilities.

This thread should be on the character optimization board ;)
