Hi guys. I have a true necromancer who is well into an epic progression (level 24 now). I took the Undead Mastery epic feat and have some questions pertaining to controlling undead and their HDs. Btw, her caster level is 27 (took 3 Spell Power high arcanas). 1. Is it possible to control a very high level intelligent undead with an HD equal to or less than my own? 2. How exactly does the whole total HD and controlling amount work? 3. Are there more feats that can raise the total amount of undead controlled that can stack with the epic feat? 4. And most importantly, what undead types are most suited for a) protecting one's place of power, and b) taking with you on adventures (w/ rest of party members)? And an off-topic question: can earth nodes affect class/feat abilities dependent on caster levels? I ask this because my base is situated in a class 6 earth node (and expanding).
