| Jaime_Wolf06-17-05, 05:14 PM | The character I'm about to play is a level 19th duelist/swashbuckler/occult slayer, and we plan to go into epic levels. Now, can't go any higher in occult slayer (5 level class), going further in swashbuckler is largely useless to me (just get the same things as duelist for most levels, and the saves and BAB don't matter at epic levels), so my only option is to go up in duelist. Now, the revised SRD has epic duelist in it, however it neglects to mention two abilities. Elaborate Parry and canny defence, do they still go up with duelist levels? All abilities in other classes that are level dependent say whether or not they still go up, so the fact that they're not included doesn't seem to suggest that they don't go up. I'd say that canny defense should go up and perhaps not elaborate parry, but my DM is obsessive about finding the official rules and moreover, with the extremely slow progression of precise strike damage and bonus feats, I'd imagine that one or both of these go up, but does anyone know? |
