| Convict2460106-13-05, 12:46 PM | I'm starting a new character. Warforged Psion(Kineticist) of 4th level, with the Psychic Meditation feat along with the Adamantine Body feat, and also Deep Psychic Meditation. I'm planning on getting into the Meditant class around 6th level. I need to get some equipment. It's been about 3 years since I've played a Psion, and this is my first XPH Psion. Any help? Oh, and I'm using with the SRD cause I'm at work, and I can't find the starting gold for a level 4 character. If anyone knows how much I should be starting with, I'd really appreciate it. I think it's 5,400, but I'm not sure. |

Personally, I'd go for a minor AC enhancing item(Ring of Protection +2), a prime ability enhancing item(IIRC that would be Intelligence -> Headband of Intellect +2) and if I have some money left a basic +1 weapon. |

Rather than going for a 2000 gp ring of protection +1, I'd just have someone place a +1 armor enhancement on your composite plating for 1000 gp. |
| Flushmaster06-15-05, 04:08 AM | That might be necessary since, IIRC, the +2 ability enhancing items (headband of intellect et al) cost 4,000gp in 3.5 (which includes Eberron). With the 1,000 go on the armor enhancement you'll have 400 GP left for your basic gear and maybe a couple of potions or such. |
| Greyman06-15-05, 04:48 AM | With the 1,000 go on the armor enhancement you'll have 400 GP left for your basic gear and maybe a couple of potions or such.If your party is lacking in artificers, wizards, or sorcers with repair damage spells, or shapers with psionic repair damage powers, 50 gp potions of repair light damage are obviously a good investment for on the spot repairs. If you've maxed out an appropriate craft skill, also invest in a 55gp masterwork set of artisian's tools, and maybe a 50 gp Warforged Repair Kit or two (they will work slower but last longer). (Check with your DM to see if the circumstance bonuses for repair kits and masterwork tools stack.) Make sure you have access to enough repair options to last you until next level, when you should discover body adjustment. |
