thorsword 02-10-06, 01:31 AM	I had posted this earlier but I never got any response because I posted it in the wrong place. I wanted ideas on how to play a Neutrel evil Half Orc drud. So far I've done the "nature red tooth and claw/ Darwinism thing". He has taken better portions of treasure with out asking and he has eaten pieces fallen enemies. He tied a kobald to the front of his Half orc barbarian party mate's breast plate to keep an eye on him and forced him to watch as he gutted his fellows and stitched them into puppets so the druid could stick his hand in them and hide behind a corner and tell the kobalds to leave the area. He recently ate what was left of a stew made of a ranger's infant son and blinded a female kobald with a poker. I've only done this in front of the other evil or neutrel party members. the good guys don't know I'm evil yet. Is this a good route or shoul dI tone it down. Are there any other angles on a evil druid?
Torack 02-10-06, 09:11 AM	I'd consider toning it down a bit. Evil doesn't necessarily involve the "eat yo momma's babies" routine... Try making the druid more self-serving, rather than a plain bully (which, granted, serves the Half-Orc very well). Try and size up opponents on a scale of can-I-take-'em. Be downright callous to those you can and pamper those characters that your character doesn't think he can take, and alwas try and place his own needs first.
CzarGarrett 02-10-06, 10:55 AM	When I hear Evil Druid I think of hunting. A neutral outlook on hunting is that animals hunt to survive. Some civilizations and cultures also hunt to survive. An Evil Druid would hunt for fun. Maybe not even kill the prey, but just scrare it beyond belief. The fear instilled into something that knows its being hunted can be one of the cruelest forms of torture possible. What you have described isn't just evil. It is a sick, twisted, sadistic vile creature. It is far beyond any rational thought. How no one else in the party has noticed how messed up this character is, is beyond me.

If I played a character that way it would cause some problems with the group, evil, neutral, good whatever. Someone would say something. I don't think you are playing the NE aspect all that well you are more like CE (chaotic evil). Neutral Evil characters are generally selfish and has the attitude of me, myself and I. I had a NE dwarven thief that was a delight to play but I didn't keep ear trophies, a decapitated head in a bag or roast dead babies. I looked out for myself, took what I thought I deserved of the loot, fought with everyone that went against my ideas and was an overall pain in the bootie (esp. to the paladin of the group, we verbally fought often). The way you describe it you are playing your Druid as Chaotic Evil, they do all that sick, twisted, demented, insane stuff. I would tone it down...MAJORLY tone it down. Talk with your DM (I'm surprised he/she has not spoken to you about how you are role-playing your character) see if an agreement can be reached and talk with others in the gaming group see what they say. Perhaps they are too afraid or freaked out to have said anything in character. Happy Gaming
