| Hurin12-09-03, 02:17 AM | Hello everyone, I've decided my character is fed up with walking the fine line between good and evil (he's Lawful Neutral) he's decided to take the plunge and throw his lot in with the forces of light. He's ready to convert to the worship of a good deity, which means that (according to the Defenders of the Faith sourcebook) he will have to perform a quest for a cleric of his new deity. Which means he's got to run around as an ex-cleric trying to accomplish this holy task set upon him. My concern is that this is going to be really disruptive to the party and our survivability. Basically the poor bastard is going to be running around with no spells, no domain powers, and no turning abilities. Yowsa! That's a hard loss for a 5th level party to suddenly lose their cleric and gain a semi-fighter ... :fight!: Any suggestions on the convert ruling from DotF, or opinions on the effect on the party? |

My question is why are you thinking of changing gods? If you worship a LN god, you can be LG, LN, N, or LE. You only need to convert gods if you worship a N or LE god. |
