| Mark Brooks03-06-04, 09:44 AM | Our group have just started a game for 10th level characters. I have decided to go a Bbn3/Wiz5/Raumathari Battlemage 2. Now the character in itself is pretty average; Str - 14 (16 with gauntlets) Dex - 11 Con - 13 Int - 18 Wis - 8 Cha - 7 I hate seeing people roll all 14+ on stats and prefer to play a weaker character. I've bumped up his str with gauntlets (Str+2). Now I'm angling him towards undead fighting as his Raumathari heritage has seen him travel to many an abandoned Nar dungeon. He's got decent weapons and equipment that will help towards this noble goal - but he's lacking one thing. That's a decent Familiar. I was considering a toad for the con bonus but that's all changed and now I'm looking for some tips on familiars. I could do with one that helps my dex or con as they can both help avoid hits or prolong life. But any suggestions would be welcome. |

The toad replicates Toughness, the cat replicates Skill Focus (Move Silent), etc. What I would suggest is that you look into taking the Improved Familiar feat, and get something better than the normal run of the mill familiar. How about a small Earth Elemental? |

But I do like the crafting idea - it's shame my character is pants at it! Next time though - I'll keep that in mind. Cheers |
