Ok so I created a Knight using 32 point buy system got 1 extra point for 21% roll,Rule DM put in there. But Anyway heres what stas I got so you guys can mix feats with the stats, Plus i went ahead and took weapon specialization with the bastard sword along with the exotic weapon feat.

Str-19 (gauntlets of ogre power)
Dex-10
Con-16 (normally a 15 +1 for level)
Int-12
Wis-12
Cha-14

BTW, Im a human and get one extra feat

Also my DM not to take toughness unless I plan on using it for other feats. And correct my if im wrong with the stats if it goes over 33 points.

You can't take Weapon Specialization - it's a Fighter feat (ie, a fighter level req). Even if you could take that, that is already 3 feats. What do you want to do with the Knight?

Its a fighter feat huh oh well, I really want to be a tank for the party make sure the party survives and the mage gets his spells off.

There are some Shield Feats you can use. Run around smashing people with your shield. It will take a number of feats though.

Str-19 (gauntlets of ogre power) So, without the gauntlet, you have: 17 = 13pts
Dex-10 = 2pts
Con-16 (normally a 15 +1 for level) = 8pts
Int-12 = 4pts
Wis-12 = 4pts
Cha-14 = 6pts
Total: 37 points spent unless I'm missing some house rule here.
(I take it that you have 33 points due to the % bonus dice house rule instead of 32?)

Hm, are you aware of the fact that by normal point-buy rules, higher stats cost more points?

If you're disregarding that rule, you have 9 (Str) + 2 (Dex) + 7 (Con) + 4 (Int) +4 (Wis) +6 (Cha) = 32 points spent.

By the way, what level is your character? (I take it the +1 for level means that you're at least level 4, but from your feats it sounds like you're level 1?)

Mysteria is correct you have 4 more points than you are suppose to have.
As for suggestions for any character is mainly focus. Don't do 3 things average. Instead do 1 thing realy good.
In this way you can shine in one area pretty well.

Suggested stats for a 'tank':

STR: 15 ---> 8 points
DEX: 10 ---> 2 points
CON: 17 ---> 13 points
INT: 10 ----> 2 points
WIS: 10 ---> 2 points
CHA: 14 ---> 6 points

That'll total to 33 points. I would recommend putting your level 4 bonus into either STR or CON, and you level 8 bonus into the other, if/when you get/got that level.

In the long run, you'll want CON, STR and possibly CHA boosting items. Get the heaviest armour you can find (probably Full plate, unless you manage to get hold of something odd from the CharOp boards).

Feats: Well, I would recommend going Sword & Board for defense, or 2H for damage- both are good options. Take the Shield Specialization chain for sword&board, abd for the others, take the Power Attack chain, probably. Combat Expertise can also be excellent.

Two-hand is a bad choice for a Knight and he doesn't qualify for Combat Expertise :rolleyes:

I believe Frostburn has a Hide Shield. +3 to AC, +4 Max Dex bonus. If you're going to be AC heavy, that can be a good choice.

Though kind of sub-optimal, in our campaigns we fight a variety of low-Will, but intelligent humanoids. I was going to play a Hexblade, another Cha-heavy character. Goad, from the Miniature's Handbook or the Complete Adventurer might be a good choice. It is a pretty good way to attract people from ganking your squishies, or rather generate threat ;D

Shield Specialization and Shield Ward will net you a +1 Shield bonus for your chosen shield and get your shield bonus on touch attacks and rolls to resist bull rush, disarm, grapple, overrun, and trip attempts against you.

Not really. Goad only works on stuff you already threaten, and at that point, your Knight area abilities are better at covering your allies than Goad is.

My bad, I thought it had some range to it. If they made it within 30ft, it could be a good feat. Otherwise, it sucks.

Hmm.. Never seen this in the book. Care to specify the page?

I would actually recommend a higher Cha score, considering your Cha is what determines how often you can make use of your Knights Challenge ability. So if you're going to be the party tank, here's how I would split up your abilities.

Str: 14 (before magic items)
Dex: 10
Con: 17
Int: 10
Wis: 10
Cha: 15

Then put your first stat boost from levels into your Cha, so it's a +3, giving you more uses of Knights Challenge, your second into Con, and proceeding from there. Also, if you're wanting to tank, get a suit of Full Plate, and a Heavy Shield.

As for feats, I believe there's a feat in the PHBII that allows you to add your Shield bonus to your Touch AC. But, I don't have the book in front of me, so I can't recall exactly.

Races of Stone has some heavy armor optimization feats. It basically gives you more armor bonus and less armor check penalty with a specific type of armor. I don't know the prerequisites by heart though, so your character might not qualify for them yet.

The following is well-meant advice and in no way meant to be condescending. I've read the thread about your fighter/rogue build, and I have a feeling you have to figure this out all by yourself. Maybe you and your DM can create your first character together?

Got 'em! Shield Specialization increases the shield bonus of whatever type of shield you select (light, heavy or bucklers) by one (only when you're using that type, of course :P), and Shield Ward allows you to add your Shield bonus to your Touch AC, as well as other nice defensive effects. Both can be taken at first level.

Shield Specialization
You are skilled in using a shield, allowing you to gain greater defensive benefits from it.
Prerequisite: Proficiency with shields
Benefit: Choose one type of shield from the following list: Buckler, Heavy or Light. When using a shield of the appropriate type, you increase it's shield bonus to AC by 1.
Special: You may take this feat more than once. It's effects do not stack. Every time you take this feat, it's benefit applies to a new type of shield.
A Fighter may select Shield Specialization as one of his fighter bonus feats.

Shield Ward
You can use your shield like a wall of steel and wood. When an opponent attempts to draw in close to you, your shield forces him away or ruins his attack.
Prerequisites: Proficiency with shields, Shield Specialization
Benefit: You apply your shield bonus to your touch AC, and on checks or rolls to resist bull rush, disarm, grapple, overrun or trip attempts against you.
Special: A fighter may select Shield Ward as one of his fighter bonus feats.

Yeah I posted wrong it was my bad here is my actual stats. (This is for level 8 I went up 1 level and added a point to Str)

Str-20 (1 bonues point plus gauntlets of ogre power)
Dex-10
Con-16 (1 point added to make 16)
Int-12
Wis-10
Cha-12 (going to try to find cloak of Charisma)
so thats my actual 33 points :)
