| mcnoo11-30-04, 01:58 PM | I moved north to nottingham recently, and the northern barbarians i call my new friends insist on playing 2.0 instead of proper civilised versions of the game. The least i can do now is to twist the situation to my advantage by playing an old clasic character archetype of mine, they fey sorcerer\rogue. (true strike along with sneak attack is a pretty potent combination) This plan is slightly hampered by neither sorcerer nor fey existing anywhere i can find in 2.0. Is there a kindly soul out there capable of kicking me in the direction of some rules of one of these? If not, i feel a swashbuckler coming on... |
| Gnomish Zombie11-30-04, 02:52 PM | oh boy... I'm not sure I could be of any help... The closer my group got to a sorcerer when still playing under 2nd edition was the Baldur's gate 2 version... Sorcerers just aren't a part of earlier editions D&D. I feel your character archetype might not be viable in the less flexible world of 2nd edition... Backstab != sneak attack (Something like you can only do it if you surprise your opponent... no flanking) Multiclassing/Dual-classing: The rules are way different in 2nd edition than they are in 3.0/3.5... 2nd multiclassing means xp split evenly between your classes, from lvl 1 to lvl 20... If you haven't read those rules yet, read them now. Remember that only humans can dual-class and they can't multiclass... |

It is one of the old Green Covered books from 2nd Ed. If you are interested in the information, send me a PM and I will send you what you need. Cheers. |
